  • Hey can you use it on the QW sim 757 or iFly 737, Wilco Airbus??

  • can you tell me what is the name of the intrumental melody from background? it is so beautiful. thank you very much. i wait response

  • Hey great video, but could someone please tell me the name of the music which starts at 0:18?

  • Does this unit have backlighing for night flying??

  • This working with PMDG MD11, PMDG 747 and DCS A10 (DCS A10 is not FSX/2004)?

  • Yes you can import Flight Plans

  • Can you import flight plans into the fmc??

  • A tutorial about how to install is available

  • How do you install it? I want to put it on the CS 767.

  • I want to bring this with me on a commercial airliner and see what happens.

  • is there a good tuturial on the internet that shows how to add custom fmc's to vrinsight CDU 2?

  • not so expensive if compare to analogue fmc, plus i like the config utility)))

    coool))) whats the song name/?

  • Please can you help me ?

what's the wonderful music during the video ?

  • @djHB999 I don't have this addon but I think that the waypoints are stored in the aircraft not the FMC. If u are having trouble entering waypoints update ur AIRAC (waypoint database basically) version and try it again. To get an updated AIRAC just google AIRAC. U have to pay for each update thou but if u use an online route planner like route finder just put in ur AIRAC version and it will route off of what version u hav.

  • hey,

i have a question: are the waypoints stored in the VRInsight FMC or in the FSX AddOn airplaye FMC? because i have a ariane 737-800. a lot of waypoints can't be added into the fm. if the waypoints stored in this FMC, i will buy it. thank you ;-)

  • Have it a lights for the night flight ?

  • very interesting ..seriously how much and how to get this? thanks...

  • Is this worth the money? I ask because I have the PMDG 747-400X and I love using the FMC :-)

  • I use ULTRA MON which allow you to set a single background for each monitor connected on the PC :-)

  • how do u get the boeing logo on the cdu? mine doesnt show that.

  • Any Airbus compatibility on this unit? I use the Wilco Airbus - very interested to see if this thing is a viable option in my pit...

  • Yes it is !

  • another wilco user (for now..), any chance to have this ported over both fsx and fs9? thx in advance

  • I would be happy if I could just start the engines. lol I have been dealing with PMDg for 2 months and no take offs yet.

  • Sweet. I better start saving up!

  • Is this PMDG compatible?

  • Fail. It looks like it is. Is it worth it?

  • @thefsxflyer : Yes it is !

  • 1 question: what can you do whit that??

  • nice

  • Cool!!

  • Do you know how to configure this CDU with the PSS 777 ? Anyone can test to program it for using with the 777.

  • hey how much did that cost in aussie dollors

  • Hey I have a couple questions...I have the M-Panel from VRInsight and i use the Serial2 software already...now will i be able to use both products...and also I use Flight Simulator 2004, will this product work in full screen for fs2004?

  • i have some probs to connect the CDU with the flight sim. when i set the position form CDU-2 (x,y) like inh the vid 1:10 the CDU do not connect..plase can you help?

  • Hello,

  • thx so much... i will buy it..hehe

  • amazing

  • This music Free?

  • no sorry, we have paid for this

  • Thank you for a reply!

To see this animation, I bought CDU Ⅱ, too.

    I use CDU Ⅱ in FS2004, LEVEL-D.

If this music was FREE, I used this music and wanted to make an animation of CDU Ⅱ.

    If there is a copyright, it is impossible to use this music. ^^;

  • Very COOl I bet you are a commercial pilot no questions asked :D

  • wow great tutorial thx! i will buy it now for 100% sure! thx a lot!

  • let me ask this, are you a real pilot for an airline?

Also 1 thing i've noticed with the CDU unit, that i think is essential, well at least in real aircraft. When you entered the reference airport, you didnt reference a gate, nor did you manually check the position of the gate.

This info provides navigation to the IRS. By giving it Latitude and Longitude, so that the IRS can allighn properly. Now FS probably dont really care anyways, but i put in anyway,

Otherwise cool vid and nice set up!

  • I'm a PPL's pilote on C172. And please not that it's note a 757's CDU tutorial. Of course we must use the ref from the gate.

You can see an another error on that video (the Scratchpad don't delete automatically the infos when they are pasted) (LFBT for example should disappear on the bottom left when entered on the top right) Now I have fixed that problem.

  • Yes, this is in fullscreen mode sir ! To allow this, you have to make a small change on the FSX.CFG (on the second card, just make the resolution for : 768x1024x32 and that will work on full screen !

The documentation of the product is really poor but I can use it without any problems.

I sent my tuto to VRinsight with the CS's profil but I don't know what they wait !!!

    All the best

  • cheers dude , yes I know what u mean about the vr insight instructions ..... half of its in korean lol....someone needs to do a proper tutorial video on how to set this thing up properly because their own forums are full of posts from people that are having major problems getting the unit to work :)

  • Comment removed

  • They also made a slight error in the design of the unit , there is not a big enough gap between the top of the cdu screen and the first pair of left & right selection buttons. The title of the page you are in is displayed at the top of the screen but theres no room for it ! if you want the selection buttons to line up with the actual options on screen then you have to cut out the title of the page at the top when resizing .

all in all though its a good product & enhances the fs experience :)

  • ummm, mine finally arrived last week.

It is a really nice piece of kit........but "plug and play" it is not !! It takes a considerable amount of time to set it up to work correctly with each aircraft, however you only need to do it one time per aircraft as settings are saved.

what I can tell you though is that it will not work in "full screen mode" as the video states only in windowed mode. Also there is no default profile for the capt sim 757 in the serialfp software as shown in the vid.

  • hi what is your musiq ?

  • This is hitting the UK next week (w/c 31/08/09), I have been reliably informed by two of the leading distributers.

My credit card is already twitching !!, I shall definately be getting one !.

I can also highly recommend the VRInsight MCP combo unit It works like a dream and makes flights so much more realistic and easier rather than using the mouse or numerous keyboard inputs :)

Also considering the "micro jet pit"........when my credit card recovers :)

  • cool and cheap too

  • Didn't look liked it worded, no display on PFD or ND. Also you entered 89000lb gross weight, which is lighter then the plane itself, it should have given you an error. It also resulted in a 1.0 COG

  • Sorry that should have been a COG of 45% and a suggested trim of 1.00. Which are both inappropriate values.

  • That also should have said worked not worded. (Youtube really needs an edit function!)

  • Should have realized you are entering metric values, sorry, but why didn't the PFD, and ND update?

  • i dont own captain sim 757 but if the IRS is modelled correctly it needs a few minutes to find its position, than the PFD and ND will appear as they are in normal flight, so programmed fmc doesnt mean you have pfd and nd set and ready to go. that's just what i think.

  • That's probably it, but I thought the IRS's had to be alligned, before the FMC is programmed? I could (probably ) am wrong though!

  • The FMC helps to allign the IRS, you need to provide the gate, or manualy refernce the Longitude and Latitude of the aircraft.

But honestly Capt sim 757 nor FS models this well at all. while on real aircraft being N0.1 out can mean that 3000 miles away you are 50 miles off target, in FS it makes no difference. and plenty of times i've flown with no IRS allignment at all and it got me directly where i wanted to be.

  • check twice before saying something, first of all the fmc calculated the gross weight, second, the units are kilograms not pounds so everything looks pretty fine.

  • One as I posted, I was wrong and apologized to the Original poster ie:metric vs imperial format. I am correct however that there is still a problem, as the data entered into the FMC did not sync up with the aircraft systems in FS. I'm just asking him why. Is it a bug? Has the software link been programmed into the sim yet?
