@XxBiancaDarlingxX Yes! After those damaging and, of course, false accusations about Michael went public he secretly married LMP. Then his team tried desperately to make the marriage appear believable by cleaning LMP up. That was impossible! For one thing, many people in the media already knew what LMP was really like so they couldn't be fooled by a makeover anyway. Also, she had a sewer for a mouth and scum always eventually came out of her mouth. Michael became disgusted by her and gave up.

The fact is, he USED her .. that is the only reason they were ever "married", but then ironically, he was too polite to tell her to go away. He didn't know how, and felt cornered, it must have been very stressful .. I know because I've been in a similar situation myself. You feel trapped and ....

I'm thinking also it would have been difficult for him because LMP is well and truly an "industry" person being Elvis' daughter, so there is a whole political aspect there that MJ would have felt obliged to deal with. He couldn't just ignore her and never speak to her again like he did with Tatiana Thumbzken. She's another one who didn't "get it" when MJ used her for PR purposes.

Furthermore, by that time he already had a solution to the baby problem in the form of Debbie Rowe, so by late 1995 LMP was even less appealing to him than she had been back in 1994 when he married her.

I think maybe he was trying to give her a "clue" (LOL!) when he went to Harlem and put big time shit on Elvis' career and compared an unknown black songwriter's daughter to a "queen", but little Lisa either didn't get it or just didn't care. Michael didn't want her but she was going to push her ugly fat butt on the guy anyway!

Emotionally, it doesn't appear that she has ever been able to completely acknowledge, at least not publicly, that Michael was never in love with her and that the marriage had absolutely nothing to do with his feelings--or lack of feelings, as it were--about her.

@XxBiancaDarlingxX Since 1995, when it started to become clear that Michael wanted out of the marriage, LMP has consistently been able to used the Presley name as leverage. Her last name didn't stop him for getting the divorce, but it did limit his ability to "cut her off" in no uncertain terms publicly, or even privately.
I'm pretty sure LMP did "get it". At first, she may have had a hard time believing that could be happening to her, and I am sure she didn't like it, but she did get it.

I have no clear idea what MJ's taste in women was, to this day I don't really know (and I've been a fan all my life) but I find it EXTREMELY difficult to believe that he wouldn't want Tatiana, for eg, in favour of someone who looks and behaves like LMP.

Is it really plausible that he would favour LMP over any other woman he had dealings with? To me the answer is no, but what IS plausible is that LMP had the most industry weight and was therefore the most difficult to vanquish in the aftermath of a failed PR stunt.
