@yipcarl Well, I'm not or never have been an authority on acting, nor did I say I was an authority. I stated my opinion. I'm a Christian, so these type of movies interest me. I should also mention that I work in the film industry, as a set lighting technician. I've been in "biz" almost 20 years now, I've worked with many fine actors over the years, from the very famous to the no-names. The actors in this, are not good. Again, just my opinion.
This movie is not propaganda. It is a fictional story based on facts. It makes you think and it brings out the factual horror of what a partial-birth abortion is and how close a baby is to being born. It shows us how absurd it is for us to think that this procedure is acceptable. This is a brilliant piece of filmmaking and acting. A must see for teens and adults.
No, it's not only fiction, but a dangerous piece of political propaganda, created to manipulate emotionally vulnerable people. People who then will work hard to take away women's right to make their own decisions. Despicable.
The Constitution makes it clear that God gave us certain rights. I don't recall Him EVER giving people the right to murder ANYONE ... especially the unborn. The only thing that is despicable is your attitude and your belief that abortion is not murder.
That is the problem when you mix Religion with State, you end up the same as Fundamentalist Islamic Countries. Why Religion not don´t people to wear condoms in Africa or anywhere else? A lot of lives and Living people will be saved. Have you ever been there?
If you think that abortion is a great thing and that it's an "easy way out of a bad situation," I suggest you read the testimonies of the women who have had abortions, which can be found on the SILENT NO MORE AWARENESS CAMPAIGN and OPERATION OUTCRY websites.
One more thing, melymbrosia: If you are so convinced that your stance is correct and that the pro-life stance is wrong, why is it that you want to silence those of use who are pro-life?
Hey, our personal rights stop at the point where others' rights begin...it is not about a woman's choice (hell, i'm a woman) its about the murder of a real life (there is no contesting that life starts after conception) and that is unconstitutional!!!
Yes, it is fiction. But its a fiction movie that points out the harrowing facts of abortion. Those facts are things that far too many Americans turn the blind eye to, or ignore completely. Amazing job on this film, I encourage everyone to see it.
I have seen the entire film, and it accomplishes what no film of its kind has ever done... Approaches what is-to many-a controversial subject, and treats it as a thriller. But a thriller that employs reasoned arguments and Hollywood-quality production values, where so many others have resorted to shrill rhetoric and home-movie quality.
My 17-year-old son watched it, and his immediate comment was "Wow. If they made more like this, it would change the aborion debate."
