If anyone actually enjoys this, that's unfortunate.....Listen to a question of heaven by iced earth, than re listen to this and tell me this is still a "masterpiece"....
@mrpbr10 Look we get it. Your a straight up Heavy Metal fan, and thats fine. I have heard the Framing Armeggon album, Horror Show Album, and burnt offerings i believe. I KNOW what Iced Earth sounds like. I like this song cause its new and they are trying new things. Stop being such a damn metal fan boy. And i heard the song you told me to listen to, and yes, this is still a masterpiece.
@JahazielakaCurly you believe you've heard of those albums? I grew up on those albums and listened to them hundreds if not thousands of times. Seems like you haven't really actually listened to those albums, just searched the songs and got an idea. Instead of pretending to be an IE fan, why don't you go out and buy an old album. And they've BEEN trying new things like Glorious Burden which was great! You wouldn't know though,"damn metal fan boy". hahaha, what a gay come back. nice try though
@mrpbr10 Seems like i haven't heard these albums? Seriously? I have the horror show album, and i once heard the Framing Armageddon Album straight through just so that i could comprehend the underlining story of the album. But yeah, im not a "real" fan. I dont give a damn if im not considered a real fan. They make music. I enjoy the music. End of story. And this new song i happen to enjoy as well. Metal Fan boy wasn't a comeback. Its what you are. I was simply pointing it out.
Man at times stu sounds dead on for matt, but other times you can tell its not him, i like his style, liked his old band to, this album is killer, the melody in it makes me laugh, cry and sing to the gods
For me, this is one of the finest ballads ever done by Iced Earth. Oh and by the way, is it just me or is the tuning on this song lower than D# ? Sounds like C# to me od something like that.
This is my favorite song right now. I lost a close friend a year ago today, and this song just hits me hard. Stu is amazing and has really done justice to Iced Earth. Thank you Jon for always making such memorable music for all of us to enjoy!
@bloodfeast123 what you talkin about? this album is amazing, and this song is really sweet. Stu wrote it for his mother who's terminally ill and fighting cancer so its truly coming from their hearts.
I love the writing, this album has a bit of everything Iced Earth is about. Its fast, heavy, and melodic. Best thing of all is Stu and Schaffer's lyrics are still full of meaning and not so abstract they dont make sense. They make perfect sense, and the topics of the words are the greatest. You cant look out your window anymore without some form of politics coming into play. I will buy this album :)
Perfect

As much as the vocals put me off, the music is very, very good. Not my cup of tea, but they did a great job.

@mrpbr10 I agree bro. Iced Earth will never be the same again without Matt :/ I don't think Stu Block's voice fits IE at all imo...
