  • @bambarby It's not that simple. You can train your body to burn more calories then normal by eating often. I know ppl who eat like 12oo calories in two sitting and they can't lose weight. I eat 2700 in 9 meals and i lose weight. We are the same age and have the same lifestyle. Your metabolism is like an engine. Keep it running and you burn fat if you don't you will store fat.

  • Well, if you have never done Power Yoga or Ashtanga...those can be very toning.

    There is a tremendous amount of upper body muscle work that happens.

    Some yoga styles will not give you upper body strength. My current philosophy is that yoga + weights is a wonderful balance.

    having protein, fruits, & vegies. try staying away from stuff you don't need like cookies, cake, icecream, stuff like that.

  • @yupitsheavy foods with low cal and high protein, look a diet for building muscle and follow it for your weight, you can still eat junk food everyonce in a while, but try and eat as healthy as you can, like chicken and fish

  • i do no cardio only weightlifting and I have a six pack and 6% body fat. Eat 6 meals a day and lift hard and your body will burn calories so quickly that you will get ripped without cardio.

  • @RBurn90 True, but there is also a risk that you can burn off muscle through too much cardio. I spent 6 months in the gym last year (alternate days) and I didn't make as much progress with muscle growth as I would have liked because I was starting each workout with 20 mins solid cardio, usually on an emtpy stomach - so my body had no choice but to burn off both fat AND muscle reserves to provide energy. It's a tricky balancing act to get right...

  • I agree with the working out and diet, but how about a strong body as opposed to just strong arms. What I mean is strong, big arms will come as a result of working everything else (other body parts) equally as hard and yes, this includes legs.

  • if your naturally skinny then your body type is probably what they call Ectomorph which is basically someone who is naturally slender and your not very powerful which means you have to work for every single ounce of muscle and strength you get. So you'll develop muscle a lot later than someone whos body type is Mesomorph or Endomoprh. hope i helped. : )

    weight training - to gain muscle mass

    diet- not to put more fat in the worked out region.

    cardio- to burn existing fats in the worked out region.

    if you do hundreds of curls and eat cheeseburgers and shits your arm will be big but its gonna look like shit because instead of protein, fats gets absorbed. the purpose is to get lean, not big, i assume.

  • 2 reason you have this problem, insulin resistance or cortisol..the biggest is cortisol habitually, you produce cortisol by : dont eat enough protein, don't sleep enough, dont eat frequent meal, by not taking simple carbs in your post workout shake,..fuel your muscle to get it leaner, i mean if you dont eat you dont burn,increase the intensity of your training by supersetting drop setting..increasing intensity will produce more natural hgh and hgh ( human growth hormone) is the stronger hormone

  • the bicep is only 30% of the arm and 60%is the tricep the rest is bone and tissue..to have a good arm train the bicep but extreme train the tricep...get amino fuel it works mix it with creatine for a post work out drink.

  • do not train your tricep as much. it might seem cool to have big triceps at first but once you started doing other exercises, for example pushups for inner chest, you will also work out your triceps. at that point you want a better inner chest but you also work your triceps and your triceps are gonna look huge and ugly.
