if you are looking to get a ps3 this winter christmas, i can only say one thing pick up this game for one of your first few get a few buds on and play and you will have a blast. i have been on it since october 1444, 2008 when it came out and wasnt that great but they have patched it and its a fantastic game. have fun

Because they aren't ranked. If you're new to SOCOM (i'm assuming you are) you may want to start with respawn, and then move up to ranked rooms. The game will take some time to get used to, but once you get a feel for it, itll be the best shooter you've ever played. The amount of tactics you use in this game is unparalleled by any other game.

@TheBoyXIII - Also b/c in respawn, no one cherishes their lives. They just run around and shoot all crazy and stuff. With ranked round based games - you only have one life per entire round so you have to play smart and be careful to survive! This type of gameplay truly shows off how skilled you are! Respawn = No SKILL!!!

And they are so used to playing COD, then when they play this and get ass raped they always blame it on the lag, There are lag spikes in the game.. but it also depends on who hosting the game also... if somebody with amish internet is hosting, no shit its going to lag.. its the host fault not Sony's fault, One of the richest companies. they have good servers! so stop blaming lag, because you get raped!

Quit smoking that crack. Their servers are laggy and cant handle more than an 8v8. A bad host only makes a laggy game more laggy. This is an online only game, so the servers should run as smooth as any other game on the market and it FAILS MISERABLY. This game is FULL OF PROBLEMS.
