Push up and down. This is the part they talked about in the beginning of the video when they said children over 10 will have bad memories of that game. That room had a hidden trick that was never told to the player so most people never got passed it.

Ah yes, the infamous "spinning pillar room". I remember I would use a bubble shield w/ the turbo button to get low enough to jump down. I had no clue about using up and down to control the momentum at the time. Ugh, the frustration

This was when Kuckles and Sonic were once rivals. Eggman tricked Knuckles into believing that Sonic n' Tails were his enemies, trying to steal the 7 Emeralds. When Sonic & Knuckles came out, Knux defeated Eggman in order to prevent him from getting his hands on the Master Emerald. These days, Sonic & Knuckles may look like friends, but they still argue over things. :P
