what does one have to do to become a race performance engineer. I am a mechanical engineer in Canada, and currently doing my masters in mechanical engineering. My research is focused on measuring the dynamic tension of serpentine belt in automotive engines. On a daily basis I am surrounded by telemetry components, and focus heavily on the vibration behavior of the belt during normal operation.
Is there anything else I should be working on to increase my chances in being a F1 engineer?
