@Blackmailguy In my opinion, it was the group's history. They were a 60's flower power band and when they changed their sound, they lost credibility.
I love Starship and Mickey Thomas. I wish they would have just started over with no ties to Jefferson Airplane at all. I think they would have gotten more respect and long term success.
@TheBeautifulbooboo Mickey Thomas is still out there touring as Starship. He's the only original member from the 'Starship' days between 1985 to 1989. Jefferson Starship is still at it as well with original members Paul Kantner & David ? and Donny Baldwin whom was in both JS & Starship. This band (s) sure has an interesting history.
@Heartboy1031 I saw Jefferson Starship in concert a bunch of years back. They had Paul and Marty and am not sure if they had any other original members with them. It was a pretty good concert
