Hulk was grey not green in the beginning, and if you look back we already had Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hide so the origin of the Hulk is not that spectacular.

I like and respect Stan Lee, but I'm always wondering if he had as much of a hand in creation as Jack Kirby did (I'm speaking of the Kirby Characters).  I don't want to insinuate it was Lee's fault that Jack Kirby was pretty poor i the end, but it does seem Stan knew more about the Business side of Comics than Jack Kirby did.

@Almuric7 Kirby did just about everything. Stan just put his name on it. It is really sad how stan lee hijacked credit away from his artists. He is and always will be a huckster.
