Just watch an old episode of Without a trace, this cut was playing at the very end when the father was reunited with his son who had been kidnapped. Don't remember having heard this before. But it is so touching, Aaron's voice is so warm and wonderful, such a gift to have a voice of this magnitude. Father, I continue to thank you for the music makers, truly an asset to this life.

What a voice! What artistry.... I had never ever heard of Aaron Neville.. and now I will never forget this voice. All thanks to looking around Youtube for decent versions of "I Shall Be Released". This, Perhaps The Version of All Versions? Beautiful, and true, and deep, and honest ... I feel that precisely when he goes highest, kind of a falsetto, near the end, it comes out of having gone down to the bare bone marrow of the song. How can I get this on a proper CD? I would, I really would.
