there were some overacting moments from Kevin Sorbo that made the movie cheezy as hell,but i still love these kind of movies forever,it stands alone from conan because it is not conan, it is Kull the Conqueror, a totally different Book and film.
the soundtrack to this movie was so badass,i went out and got the soundtrack before i got the movie,it was a great movie but the soundtrack was awsome.

I agree that the laters films were not kickass, but Conan the Barbarian was lacking a more fluent story and action wasn't enough for me. Plus, Conan played as Arnold S. get his ass kicked and that sucked cuz it didn't make look like he's a super strong man. He was a musculated faggot instead.
@Timberghost2000 the caracter of Conan is not supper human, just becuse he comes from a wild bloodline dosen't mean he is invencable; it is because of this wildness, that Conan is capable of dearing what, "civilised" men deam unthinkable or impossable, but he is still just a man and he can be defeated.
Of course, how could you know that sence you obviously haven't read Mr. Howards orignal stories.

Thats probably why Arnold turned down the makers of this film when asked to reprise his role as Conan. After the failure of Red Sonja, he probably figured the series was over after the 2nd one. i remember bein up at my cottage and my dad took me to see this at this theatre in town that only had 2 screens. they were playing this and airbud, the place was packed and when we went in to watch the movie we were the only 2 there for kull lol
Robert E. Howard would be glad to know both of his greatest characters have made it into the movies. That said, the Kull and Conan movies could have been done better. They're all still worth watching though.

True, but he really doesn't count as one of Howard's greatest to me. Everyone and their grandma knows Conan, and that unfortunately can't be said for Solomon Kane.
I saw this movie and I was really impressed - nice storyline (not worse than Conan adventures), great acting, really not bad visual effects. After Hercules Kevin Sorbo became one of my favorite actors, so I might see this movie plus 2 beautiful actresses (Tia Carrere and Karina Lombard)

Good movie, especially the 2nd part.
He plays simular role as Hercules but this is better then the Herc TV series which was more for kids.
