The Droid does record video. You don't HAVE to run more than 1 app at once, its just a possibility. The Android Market is less than a year old with 10,000 apps. I believe that the iPhone is one of the best phones but your reasons as to why its superior aren't concrete in my opinion.

The iphone is the best in pocket device for surfing the web. Because I have access to the internet at all times, I can trade stocks almost as well as sitting at a desktop pc. I really don't give a flying f*ck what phone you like better, or what network you like better. I gave my opinion. TDAmeritrade built an iphone ap a year ago because it is the dominant portable trading platform. Anyone in the stock market in any serious way would be stupid to buy the droid. The droid is a toy for latecomers.
And a Betamax can do everything a VHS can do. In fact a Betamax was a superior device to the VHS. Software matters. A device with 30 million users and a 100,000 aps will be superior to another platform with 500,000 users and 10,000 aps. The reason, capitalism. Software costs money to make, the only way you make a profit is selling to as large a community as possible. If you were going to invest $500k building a game which device would you build for? Build for the droid and you lose money.
I also think it's funny you use a Mac to make your youtube videos and comments. Why use a Mac when a PC is cheaper for the power? You use a Mac because of the software it runs without crashing. The software runs better on a Mac because apple designed a superior programming language and OS that doesn't crash. The Iphone has a 30 year head start on the droid, not a 2 year. I would get the Hero over the Droid. Now that there is news thatvthe Hero will get the Android 2.0 update soon, it makes it a better device than the Droid in my opinion. I'm liking this device less and less the more I see it.
I saw the commerical for the Droid some time ago and wondered wtf it was. Then I was gonna get the Storm2 until I realized the Droid was coming out. Now I'm totally getting a Droid.
The storm 5.0 update that came out yesterday completely revamped the phone. I was about ready to ditch it but the speed is now on par with the iPhone/Palm Pre. Pretty amazing how the OS can revamp a phone so successfully actually.

From what I've read, the "iDon't" commercials were produced by Motorola, not Verizon. Verizon is decently interested for an iPhone for their 4G network in 2010.

Wow an objective mini preview from a Mac user...caught me off guard. But GJ iHachTech. The Droid does look pretty awesome....but I guess we will have to wait for some real hands on reviews.
there is no difference in pic quality b/w a 3 & 5 MP phone camera....additionally, the flash on the phone is non-effectrive for outside night shooting....so the camera is crap!
the iPhone is really smooth touch screen wise, and really no other phones have compared, except maybe the Palm Pre, but the iPhone/Touch murders that phone. We'll see, im psyched :D

"10,000 apps". I bought the LG enV Touch also believing a similar claim regarding apps on their phones. Sadly for me, and I'm sure other enV Touch owners, there are very limited apps and I have yet to see a completely free app other than VCast Song ID... Other thant his the phone is just Amazing!
The thing about the Droid is that it runs on the Android OS. And the app market is already available for phones such as the G1 & My Touch 3g. I believe that the Android market does have over 10,000 apps so far. Tons of free & paying apps. The enV Touch was definitely misleading though.
That will not beat the iPhone. The only phone that will beat the iPhone however is the next iPhone that comes out and then the one after that.. And so on..

As an iphone 3gs user I just wanted to talk about a few things this phone doesn't have.
1 a video camera. Still shots are so last years tech. I love to shoot vids!
Additionally, having 100,000 aps is nice.
I also like that my iphone does not allow multiple aps to run at once, hogging my bandwidth and memory resources. 1 program at a time = speed!
Mark my words, this phone will have problems with viruses and crashing, if it ever makes it out the gate. It wont. doa. too little too late.

It does have a video camera (better than any of the iPhones).
10k USEFUL apps vs 100k okay apps (including 100 fart apps!)

it's not an iphone imitation.. it if was it would b da same thing... iphone doesnt have a DVD quality video recorded.. n when i want to party at night then i can take pix with my 5.0 MP Camera with flash.. n if i get lost while partying i jss talk to the Android.. n i go whereever i want to w/o paying any fees... n 100000 apps.. yeah i'm impressed by the numer.. but it's not as if someone is gonna use them all.. besides any important fun app tht iphone has.. the drois does have it as well..

I would get the Hero over the Droid. Now that there is news thatvthe Hero will get the Android 2.0 update soon, it makes it a better device than the Droid in my opinion. I'm liking this device less and less the more I see it.

The storm 5.0 update that came out yesterday completely revamped the phone. I was about ready to ditch it but the speed is now on par with the iPhone/Palm Pre. Pretty amazing how the OS can revamp a phone so successfully actually.

whats going to be interesting will be how the droids screen is bigger 3.7in compared to 3.5in but as far as I know the droid and Iphone will be like snow leopard and leopard both very simalar better things about some and better things about the other. Either way I dont think u cant go wrong. If I was eligible from my 3gs I would get the droid

From what I've read, the "iDon't" commercials were produced by Motorola, not Verizon. Verizon is decently interested for an iPhone for their 4G network in 2010.

Palm Pre's touch interface is up there with the Iphone.
However, it is quite a beta phone. I have it myself, and it's still getting underway.
Once WebOS gets running though, we'll probably be able to see more people going to that multi-tasking interface.

there is no difference in pic quality b/w a 3 & 5 MP phone camera....additionally, the flash on the phone is non-effectrive for outside night shooting....so the camera is crap!

Great vid man! I'm really looking forward to seeing how the Droid does in the market when compared to the iPhone. I'm sure you noticed that at 5:25 in this video, the splash page for the Droid claims
"10,000 apps". I bought the LG enV Touch also believing a similar claim regarding apps on their phones. Sadly for me, and I'm sure other enV Touch owners, there are very limited apps and I have yet to see a completely free app other than VCast Song ID... Other thant his the phone is just Amazing!

The thing about the Droid is that it runs on the Android OS. And the app market is already available for phones such as the G1 & My Touch 3g. I believe that the Android market does have over 10,000 apps so far. Tons of free & paying apps. The enV Touch was definitely misleading though.
