What about Norway? Norway has "only" the highest HDI score of the planet and the second highest GDP per-capita of the world.

@trounbyfire: Only 20% of Americans or so are Liberal or whatever you call them today, "Progressives". No recent stats since 2009, but I would venture to guess that number is now a bit lower. One fact is, Liberals got lucky in 2008 when Independents were fooled. That has since changed. Independents have now virtually abandoned the Democratic party.

That being said, I don't think you can expect him to get his way 100% of the time. Obama's been a HORRIBLE President. I think it's a bit of BS to simply blame the "republicans" for all the Presidents fuck-ups. HE signed legislation into law, HE started an illegal war in Libya and God knows where else. HE extended the Patriot act and kept secret prisons open. HE sent more troops into the middle east etc etc. Not to say that members of congress on BOTH sides of the isle didn't play their role in this madness, but so did Obama. Is Cenk voting for Obama in 2012? If so, WHY?
