@SirBedevereGaming back in the late 90's i would have agreed with what you're saying :) but gaming has come a long way now and the graphics, gameplay, story and voice acting in fallout 3 make it a more immersive and rewarding experience :) don't get me wrong, i loved the first 2 fallout games when i was a child but now i'm older i can appreciate art in all its forms, and fallout 3 is definitely a work of art! :)

F3 has almost the same story as F1: Someone who lived in a Vault all his/her life comes out and needs to do some stuff in order to save the world. The side quests are not gratifing. I got more of an emotional response from bringing that kid from Modoc back home in F2, than from saving Vault 101. Ok, there is a lot of fun stuf, like hacking and lockpicking, or having to repair your gear. But that's just icing.

You spend hours upon hours, doing good and being helpful (or bad and a menace) to anyone who needs you, lose your father, get kicked out of your home (TWICE!), fight and defeat the Enclave, and give the world pure water. @McGuffin56 I actually enjoyed playing Fallout 3 because of the big areas you can explore and how you can control the outcome of the game itself. I even noticed Fallout 3"s graphics werent as good as many of the recent games at the time, such as Halo 3. What separated this game from the rest for me was the liberty to do whatever you want in an open world. And "modern" players come on, dont be a hypocrite because im positive you and many other people here play "modern" games as well.

@Lamatrix100 You need a plasma rifle. After you do a quest in Boneyard, take it to Smitty and he will upgrade it to a turbo plasma rifle.

@McGuffin56 I actually enjoyed playing Fallout 3 because of the big areas you can explore and how you can control the outcome of the game itself. I even noticed Fallout 3"s graphics werent as good as many of the recent games at the time, such as Halo 3. What separated this game from the rest for me was the liberty to do whatever you want in an open world. And "modern" players come on, dont be a hypocrite because im positive you and many other people here play "modern" games as well.

you can walk around freely if there are no enemies in sight, it switched to turn based mode when you encounter something hostile ;)

@asmzzz Dude in poland I found the fallout Saga(1,2,Tactics)for just 10zl(no tax there, just cover price :D)! And, for those of you who know crap about currency, that would be made into somewhere near $3.41! It is legal, not pirate, black market etc. its just cheap as HELL because it is(I guess) not selling well. I only saw it at 1 store, and there it had only like 2 copies. For the same price, my brother got a monthly issue of a gaming magazine (cybermycha) with saga, 2 magazines, and 2-game CD
