  • Running my Q6600 @ 3.6ghz on air 24/7... Man up noobs, overclock in BIOS!!!!

  • i hate these youtube noobs who try to overclock

    "wut softwars u downloads!?!!??11"

  • I have an Intel Pentium Duo Core laptop. And I think my computer is 'locked' so I can't over clock my pc? Is there a way to overide ths or something? Also there's no option to change BIOS settings when I go to it.

  • Are you runing whit 1,2volt on 3ghz??

  • Disable C1E and EIST! Noob overclockin'

  • Hey i over clocked my Q9300 to 3.487Ghz, and its ranked at No 17 on cpuspeedpro(dot)com, i'm afraid to take it any higher lol. dont wana fry it !! lol

if you want my bios settings i can tell u , my MBoard is a P5e3 Pro. maybe i make a movie of it one day

  • damn dude thats a decent OC :D, I have the q9400 2.6ghz stock 3ghz OC w/ ASUS p5n-d Mobo. but this mobo is not good for quads very hard to OC quads just want to let ppl know if they are looking for a motherboard.

By the way im not sure if you have upgraded your heatsink yet but the COOL MASTER Hyper 212+ is a VERY NICE heat sink 29 bucks and preforms like a 120buck+ one. Its simply amazing you can also buy another fan for the other side of heat sink for more uber cooling!

  • I tried to OC my q9300 to 3ghz but now when i boot screen goes black :(

  • cool i also have a quad core but what did you use to overclock your cpu????? PLEASE REPLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @hamzathespartan117 I used my motherboard's BIOS. No 3rd party software involved

  • @FOOSAG hey dude, u think it is possible to overclock a compaq mobo is wistron303c the cpu is a turion ultra zm 80 2.10ghz

  • @hamzathespartan117 On some EVGA mobos(not sure if all have it) they come with a program called ELEET which is used for overclocking without going into your computer's BIOS.

  • Nice job. I know this is a pretty old video so I dont know what you have doen so far with. But you should be able to drop the voltage if you havent already. I have mine running 3.25ghz with 1.28 vcore. It will help to drop the tempature if you are still running the stock cooler.

  • what's the software name !!!

  • @zoomingx I just used the BIOS from my motherboard.. I just changed the FSB

  • I recently got mine to 3,42Ghz Took some time getting stable

  • I really want to know your core temps with this

  • how to overclock voltage?????

  • Bios

  • @dolary1 still, fail processor

  • i need a good mobo 4 overclocking? the cpu

  • Funny how that is cause i saw your vid and you lag on cs with fraps on.... Sad how you lie, anyways nice overclock you should be able to get atleast 3,5 with no major problem

  • Comment removed

  • Awwee too bad cause i only loose max 10fps sing fraps meaning you have around 35-40 fps without fraps. And saying that no fraps video has good fps is retarded and makes you a stupid moron. Most gameplay videos are shot using fraps and they dont lag its just you. And before you reply to this try not to act like a stupid kid, love you cutiepie

  • Dude, you have to stop bitching, I have a PII 965, stop being such a dick, it's called multitasking, us big boys do it.

  • So you were lying? Sad...

  • how was I lying? you're such a dipshit

  • i bet you have nasty vdroop on that board i did with the p5n-d

i upgraded the mobo to the ga-ep45-ud3p

which is the best board ive ever had !

i got my q9550 to 4.3ghz with minor voltage tweaks

  • nice, i overclocked my q9300 to 2.8, but i dont want to push any further because i dont know how much my motherboard can handle... its a 780i, any suggestions??

  • all the way to 4ghz, 2000mhz ive seen it

  • really? nice

  • Dude! I like your camera! So high quality! Nice overclocking BTW haha.

  • cool, i have a E1200 running stable @ 3.2 GHZ (stock @ 1.6 GHZ). My voltage is a bit to high tough (1.45 V)

  • What r ur average temps

  • congratulations on your first OC!!!Im pretty sure if u get better cooling you can hit about 3.6-3.8GHz btw.Ive seen a Q6600 overclocked to 3.7GHz so the Q9300 should also overclock well...good luck

  • Yeah, the Q9300 doesn't have an unlocked multiplier.

  • wat r ur voltage specs?

  • Do your research.

    Q9300 can't have a multiplier of 10x. Max multiplier is 7.5x

Foosag, if you have stability issues, I suggest manually setting the voltage.

  • Fsb (amount) * Multiplier (amount) = Clockset

    Fsb 400Mhz * Multiplier 7,5 = 3000 MHz

And he do set the Voltage but automatic..

    1.328V

    Setup:

    Fsb: 400

    Multiplier: 7,5

    Voltage: 1.328V

    Hope this is usefull..

  • yeah that's it. Thx for posting lol. Saves me the trouble.

  • cool i just overclocked mine but my voltage is at like 1.35

  • Hi Foosag, gratz with your first overclock, but i bet your voltage is in auto mode, and thats why it's set at 1.328V, when the stock is 1.250V...

    All users his settings is:

  • hey wat r ur settings

  • what is speedstep????

  • does the q9300 bottlenecks the gtx 285? i have a e6300 and swrewin up my gtx 285...so im planning to get q9300

  • No it wouldn't. The Q9300 can overclock pretty well too.

  • hello

    I have the q9300 too. i have oc my q9300 too@3ghz

but why does vista shows me 2.5ghz???

  • Under the "System" tab in the control panel, it should say "Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9300 @ 2.50GHz 3.00 GHz".. that is if you did Oc it.

  • whats your bios settings?

  • congrats dude, im like you im new in overclocking and i overclock my AMD Athlon 64x2 5000+ stock and fan stock and it came 2.6 Ghz and i ovecklocked to 3.21 Ghz , every one said to me that only the black edition can be overclock but i dont know how really i done that but successfully i done that. but again congrats on you`re overclock and happy overclocking

  • how come your multiplier is only 6? can't you set it to a max of 9? Thats usually the value most people have it set to

  • My multiplier says 6, but it is at 7.5. That's because of Intel's "SpeedStep" technology where it would make your CPU run at a lower speed to be more power efficient. I'm not too sure how to change the multiplier value yet. I'm still new to overclocking.

  • Is the Q9300 a good CPU? I've been looking at Core 2 Quads and trying to see which ones are good bang for the bucks.

  • The Q6600 is $40 cheaper and I hear it can overclock well.

  • Ive got a question Im a computer but Ive never heard the term "Overclocking" what does it mean???

  • Overclocking is making a certain component of your PC (ex. CPU, graphics card, memory) run faster than its default speeds. Basically, you get an extra performance boost at the expense of heat and possibly shorter lifetime for the components. Those expenses shouldn't be a problem if you have adequate cooling.

  • ahh.. no, my PC is nowhere near the greatest.

The cost difference is $40 USD. The Q6600 is still an awesome CPU.

  • I don't have Crysis Warhead :(

However, I do have Crysis, and I'll probably do a benchmark on that once my friend returns it to me.

  • Good job congrats anything you need send me a message. 5/5

    Keep the videos coming.

  • Thanks again for your video tutorials!
