This was a nice play from Boxer, but let's be honest: the opponent let him do it. I get a feeling if the Protoss had just rushed with a lot of dragoons and zealots, he would have won as Boxer had little defence and didn't even scout his base much.

@Z7ONY Boxer (or that Terran player) saw the Robotics and moved the science vessel close enough to detect any observers coming out. One would only assume that the enemy will way point the observer toward the area of the battle, where the ghost is most likely hiding, and not in the opposite direction.

he won by pure micro, 1 ghost, 1 medic, 2 vultures, and a science vessel gg'ed the whole game.. once he nukes, protoss can either

2)somehow splash or kill ghost

since boxer micros better, protoss did neither so GG NO RE

Certainly true when the second nexus died. When the first nexus died, he could evacuate to his expansion. There's also a cooldown period between nukes during which the nexus could be rebuilt, which will get you back in business much faster if you still have probes.

A few things here... it looks like this is a very old game - with today's strategies this wouldn't work, furthermore, the protoss player (while probably better than all of us commenting on this) is a relative novice compared to Boxer by the looks of this replay.

Not demeaning Boxer at all, this was just a bad strategy perfectly played to make it almost good :P he just wanted to humiliate with nukes :)

you can download something to count your clicks on the mouse and keyboard. Pros have more APM (actions per minute ) so they can get more done, use units to the fullest

For instance every move to, attack or build command itself is an action. So basically its about key input and mouse clicks.

Good players can reach 200 APM.

I think JulyZerg once hit 800 APM. This was in a Sauron Zerg video - All he did was stack up builds from 8 bases and like 24 Hatcheries.

Well not trying to be a smartass here - however, efficiency involves measurement of actions whereas effectiveness measures the benefit of the actions.

So effectiveness can be reduced to the winner of the match whereas the most efficent person could still lose to an less efficient one.

EG. Micromanage 60 Zergling vs a group of 12 archons. Even with awesome efficient zerg micro the effective archons are likely to win.

In conclusion, apm is not everything

Yes, it can be. A Nuke will take out 500 hp OR 2/3 of a building's TOTAL health, whatever is greater. In this case, after the EMP the Nex has 750 hp, and the nuke will take out 2/3 * 1500 = 1000 hp. You can see the results of this in the game...
