  • Man. James sings it well but damn, learn to pronounce the song before singing it...

  • James, your wafer thin Tenor voice is not suited to singing anything let alone real music like this.

  • D:

  • WTF?!?!?!?!!? LEARN ITALIAN BEFORE SINGING A MASTERPIECE. THIS IS a MASTERWORK.... WHAT A SHAME.

  • of course they won't be compared to Pavarotti!!! but the concept is nice.. Metal & Opera is like Sex & Food.... they just belong together as the perfect combination!

  • i like this project, but i think labrie has nothing to do in this band :S

  • Italian by way of Canada

  • I don't mind the vocals at all, it's freakin' James Labrie after all, but the arrangements on this album are just horrendously cheesy

  • Sure he's not really an opera singer, but i think this was a brave and cool attempt at trying something different. I prefer it to the original, but I'm just a sucker for James' voice no matter what the song is :)

  • This was good but the problem with all of the rock/metal versions except for Manowar's is that they are too rhythmic and it just doesn't feel right.

  • Just, guys, I'm Italian, and... I love James but... ( I checked out "O Sole Mio" too o_o' )

that VIEENCEEEEEEEEEEEeROOOOOOOOOOOOOO was definately the funniest thing I ever heard xD

  • I think Manowar did it better.

  • I love James, but this is not good.... seriously... :S

  • This version is horrible!!

  • @TaylorSonriente you are even more horrible

  • This version is horrible!!

  • This version is horrible!!!!

  • best rated comments could not tell my opinion better! very different feelings appear, when i hear this

  • You are so stupids,James Labrie is a great tenor morons, you must some vocal lessons with urgency! Bariton is one thing, tenor is completely different, and c'mon Fabio Lione is a generic from Labrie!Andre Mattos? Are you serious? I'm Brazilian and Love Old Angra but Mattos is only high Falsetto(repeating only falsetto)Mike Kiske even the same! Check out (THE HIGH NOTES OF JAMES LABRIE ON YOUTUBE)and stop to throw up ignorance in your comments please! Try A INCREDIBLE PERFORMANCE LIVE BY JAMES LAB

  • d'amore e di "sborranza"! :)

    "speranza" means "hope"

"sborranza" could come from "sborra", which means "sperm" in neapolitan dialect !!!

    lol

Sublime melodia!!!!

  • Without a doubt the most horrible version of this song I've ever heard. Nevermind that it musically butchers the original, but LaBrie sounds like Brad Pitt in Inglourious Basterds. Embarrassingly thick accent. Such rubbish.

  • he pronunce italian veeeeeery wrong!

    is speranza not spOranSa!!!

    XDXDXDXDXD

  • @RockWithMascara1995 Nééééssunn doaaarmaaaaaa ahahahahah

  • The tempo is wrong, it completely kills the spirit of the song...

  • oh my....this sucks so much

  • I think this is pretty awesome, the exact opposite in style to what labrie specialises in though, he has a very bright voice. That said, I've yet to hear an opera singer who could touch on labrie's performances such as live at the marquee and in tokyo, when he was at his prime before his injuries.

  • @shakalamon I hope you're kidding. Opera singers are the most accurate and flawless singers of all. Labrie makes and always made a lot of mistakes in lives. And everyone knows Live at the Marquee's vocals have been re-recorded in studio. DT admitted this truth long time ago.

This said, I love Labrie's pre-injury voice. One of the best progressive metal ones.

  • @Abisso666 No doubt, opera singers are immensely well trained and accurate, but that still doesnt mean they are better singers, or have better technical range. Yeah, he's never been a flawless live singer, cuz he was destroying his voice with his technique long before his injury and second injury in 2000. And labrie is the 1st to admit his flaws, marquee he had a sinus infection, but the re record was a single first take for each song, so as near to live as you could be.

  • @Abisso666 I think it´s a major difference in singing rock and singing opera. I´ve done both and I must say that you can´t take a singer who have sanged with a microphone based technique and expect him to project on a stage on the other hand you can´t take an opera singer and let him sing led zeppelin or iron maiden either because the tonal production is different and so is the training. Ok somethings are simular like compression by pressing down but larynxposition and how the voice projects not

  • i thought this was great. labrie did a good job for being canadian. haha. and his range is crazy. loved this. and the whole rockestra concept!

  • Maravillosa canción!

  • WTF??

    I loved it!!!!!

  • LABRIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • Who thought this was a good idea?

  • Does anyone have a link where I can download True Symphonic Rockestra album?

  • Don't like the opera tenors :(... they don't have a good melodic conduction... they don't even breath properly.

  • So bad. Even JB are better rofl

  • He's canadian! Stop having such high expectations xD

  • Oh my god, you can trust me if I say that LaBrie has a terrible Italian pronunciation.

  • my italian is worser so i don't care ^^

  • I love it. I think LaBrie fits this very well and the fact that the tempo is a bit faster and more metal makes this my favourite version of the song. The tenor is fantastic, but I love that they left the final vincero to James. A great contrast of voices.

More projects like this should exist. The sound itself is awesome.

  • James is a great singer, but he doesn't fit into this. Otherwise a good idea.

  • I agree Gaigaia! In fact i cant understand why did they choose Labrie! he is terrible, one of the worst metal singers(enven though i like DT)! There are too many good singers that could perform this songs perfectly (Fabio Lione, Michael Kiske, André Matos, Alex Voorhes, etc...). Idont know what the hell this guys had in mind.

  • Because Labrie has some unique voice skills.... When you listen metal singers almost all of em sound similar... but when you listen to Labrie you know that that's his voice.. And CMON!! no rock singer could sing Nessun Dorma... Don't you know anything about Opera?.. You need to study to sing things like this. I admit this kind of fusions are terrible ideas.

  • There's nothing that Labrie can do that Fabio Lione or Andre Matos can't do! They are (in my opinion) among the most gifted metal singers! And they would probably perform this song better (just my opinion again! but listen to Lamento eroico and tell me what you think) I know you need to study to sing theses things! Matos is a graduated musician

  • I know... In fact I left rock, because I don't wanna end up like Matos... compare old Angra songs with his new solo album. And in live performances he's usually overdoing it... I study classic singing, then I know how the voice works, Don't worry. Matos used to be my favorite rock singer, until I listened to michele luppi, who really shows a technique. I don't like metal anymore, though.

  • I must agree with you, Michele Luppi is great (indeed one of my favorite. talking about him, did you listen to his new band? Killing touch!) And Matos, you're right, he was better earlier in his career (Angra with him was Fantastic)! it's too bad you don't like metal anymore! you don't have to end up like Matos (don't go beyond your bodily capabilities). Metal is a vast world, try to be different somehow and you will succeed! Carry on!

    Sorry for my english

  • La brie can't sing that

I think that if it was more death ti would be better. If it had more bass and power achords.

That was very bad...but the idea is interesting

    I will do that someday.

  • horrible ! how the fuck idea to sing this song after Pavarotti !

  • Hahahahaha!! "And all that nonesense" bah...now I know how things will be in a few years! Now I'm a pretty big fan of Black Metal groups...and I suspect that I'll be in the same situation in a few years! Hahahaha...Andre Matos has what we call "voz de corneta" in my country...your reply made me LAUGH! Hahahaha...

  • Hahahahaha...he's got charm though...but yes, absolutely right!

  • James' italian is terrible!

  • oh yes!

  • concordo

  • Never thought I'd see James LaBrie smile on a dc cover... 0.o

  • victorrsan is a idiot

  • james is the best! those who don nt like him are mother fuckers!

  • Don't get me wrong! I LOVE James, I truly deeply love him...but not so much when he's NOT singing DT's songs =)

    I prefer Nessun Dorma's originial version D:

  • I think that on Ayreon album "The Human Equation" he was pretty amazing - even better than on some recent DT songs.

  • Personally i find this side-project very interesting (i'm an avid DT fan aswell) but this is a great mix of classical and rock it also proves that classical pieces AREN'T ruined if they are 'jazzed up'

  • @MademoiselleLumiere i love when he sings dt songs and this kinda tunes :P

  • I was hoping he'd be the one to sing the final Vincero! I love his voice. I also love that he didn't compromise his style to fit in with the Opera guys, as I'm quite sure he knows how to sing operatically. If he wasn't classically trained in the beginning, he sure had to be after his injury to even continue singing at all.

  • How exactly did LaBrie injure his voice?

  • He got food poisoning in Cuba and vomited to the point of rupturing his vocal folds.

  • Vomiting from food poisoning. ruptured his vocal chords.

  • @tutiritit I absolutely love JLB as a singer both in DT and his many solo albums. One of my favorites. But I have to admit I don't like him all that much on the TSR album. I think the other ones generally are better for this kind of singing. But hey, everyone's different.

  • @tutiritit indeed

  • @tutiritit If they are parents they must surely be motherfuckers.

  • manowar sound better in this song

  • a sto punto punto meglio eric adams........

  • fuck you asshole. James Labrie rips. you could never sing as good as him

  • the worst singer ever he really sucks as you hahaa

  • DT's voice could have been Iron Maiden's voice. STFU

    Saludos

  • beautiful.

  • I liked it. I thought it was refreshing.

  • who are the singers? james labrie and the other??

  • luciano pavarotti....RIP

  • shut up, this is blasphemy... have you ever heard LP singing this track??

    this guys are raping opera.

  • piottolo me so sbagliato!!=)

pensavo intendeva di chi era l'originale

  • LP has sung this song, fyki the video is also on youtube

  • of course... i was just telling the guy that THIS singer is not pavarotti, of course he played the turandot, he did many times indeed.

still i think this project is quite bullshit

  • his name is Thomas Dewald

  • mmmm bad work... really bad...

  • best version by MANOWAR

  • Labrie´s heavy vibrato in hes voices fits so well in opera. And yes the drumsound sucked. Sounds like Back-metal-sound. Why not some light suiting sound?

  • I see 888erkan888 is well versed in musical terms LOL

  • Yes I maybe don´t know so much, but I do know when it sopunds shitty!!

  • LaBrie owns the song.

  • I hate the snare it sucks

    but the rest is exellent

    Specially LaBrie

    Haha Labrie FTW!!!!

  • VOCAL REZPECT!!!1

    whole music with vocal SHIT!!!!!!!

snare is totaly fuckt up :)

    PENDEJO...

    jajajaja

  • LaBrie rocks! He has power!

  • has escuchado alguna vez Images and Words de DT?

    jajajajaa

    pinche daddy yanke..

    jajaja

A mi no me latio pro pz camara a seguir escuchando ondas
