The first 10 years served as a National party member. After 20 years on the super scheme post 1988 his super quantum starts to decline rapidly. That scheme has ended now post Mark Latham for all new members elected since 2006, all on the really old scheme have no 20 year rule.
And as for stable government...seriously look at what happened to Kevin Rudd and likewise at the revolving door of deposed NSW premiers with both scenarios being executed by union and factional powerbrokers...hardly the foundation for providing stable government.
Rob, Ken Henry has been in bed with Labor since day one...it is plain as day that Labor have white anted treasury with their cronies, this is why they were reluctant to get them to do the costings, not because there were any black holes but because they knew Ken Henry would give a false assessment. This was the same guy made a $12.5 billion mistake in assessing the mining tax and was the chief protagonist of the tax in the first place. Labor will run this country if they get back in.
