I've got Eee PC 1015B and I always wanted to install Windows XP on int, but I failed every time... Thank you for this tutorial! Now I have Windows XP Professional on it and 2 GB of ram, it's working perfect :))
Ok I have tried with 7starter...here it stucks at some dumb "setup is updating registry settings" screen...i cannot belive im actually gonna pay someone to install me goddamn os to stupid computer after all this years...:((
Hey dude Im trying to install freaking xp to my asus eeepc netbook and just can not do it!
It always hangs at the second part - installing devices...progress bar stops and computer completly freezes I ve tried it couple of times with different kinds of xp installations(cd's)
The same thing happens every freaking time and I cannot finish setup (second part of it)...please help me if you can...should I try with win7starter or something??...or throw the goddamn thing trough the window..:)
instead on all the thumb drive work. .. cant you just use a external cd-rom driver that connects to your netbook via USB cord... and load it that way?
ThankU sooo much for this video.. after struggling for more than 10 hours, i (searched, found) watched ur video n finally installed Windows in my Netbook..
Yes! Its took me 24hrs to Reformat and Re-install fresh new Operating System of Compaq Mini 110c 1100SO. No CD-ROM , NO Floppy Drive and NO SATA Driver. Try to solved it by my self. Thank you Google and specially to this video Uploaded by RobertSmith3. The Netbook does have SATA driver so there is a problem detecting HDD when installing WIN OS, Good thing I have Macally USB Floppy Disk Drive. I downloaded the SATA Controller driver and Extract to Floppy Diskette using USB Floppy Drive, :)
hey man i have an hp mini id like to reinstall windows xp to start fresh since it was a used computer, but what are the keys "F#" that i need to press instead of the ones you use
One sob dislikes the video ):( anyway thanks man It helped allot but your filestube download links is dead :| I am going to Subscribe to your Channel :)
I did everything as you did, My only problem is that when it asks me to start 2nd part of installation, the windows logo comes and the loading, it just keeps loading slowly and does nothing,I left it over night and still loading.... any help?
i manged to get rid of the black screen of death, but the problem is that when i try to format the partition i create it always stucks at some poing, for example at 3%, and the formatting does not continue.
@taksa123456 Are you using the same netbook as I am? If not, it may be different for you and you'll have to google how to enter the Bios for your netbook.
no actually i'm not using the same netbook. well the thing is that i tried to format it a few times and failed all of them and now the netbook won't even open! so now it's pointless to search for anything :(
@taksa123456 Well you should at least be able to boot up into the bios of your netbook. Formatting your hard drive has nothing to do with your bios. Your bios are usually hard coded in your motherboard which makes it hard to screw that up unless you flash it incorrectly. If you have a regular copy of winXP on a CD, I would recommend visiting Best Buy/Walmart and buy an external CD drive and installing it that way. Then take the external drive back when you are done with it :D
im having problems with this .. after i finish set 1 i try to do set 2 and i get this
"Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem. Could not read from the selected boot disk. Check boot path and disk hardware. Please check the windows documentation about hardware disk configuration and your hardware reference manuals for additional information." ..
also i dont see my HD no more in bios .. i dont know if thats why ..
i had taken out my netbook HDD and hooked it up to my desktop and had it format and made a partition on it .. then i put it back into my netbook and boot it up .. i then go ahead and use my usb drive that and install xp .. then when i get to step 2 .. i get that windows message up there .. i wonder if its because i used my desktop to format and make that partition that i get that message .. any help..

Thank you so much for this video. I kept getting an error message when I tried to install WInXP over my Win7. But with the help of your video, I was able to get it to boot the setup correctly. Thank you again.
this is retarded. how can you make a bootable WITHOUT the windows xp cd. netbooks dont come with he actual windows xp cd. you should show where to find an image and download. which i dont know how to do. that would be more helpful

@mmatic2 Just do what works for you. This is something I had to do on this netbook in order to install windows, however, you may not have to. Just try to install windows and see what happens. Basically, I figured this out from trial and error, so sorry I cannot be much more help about that, but that's what I did to figure this out.
@RobertSmith3 i tried.. i got error message when trying to run the setup.. i changed AHCI to compatible and evertihing worked ok.. after install i tried to changed it back but the winodws didn't start.. blue screen and error message again so it works only with this little bios modification.. thanks a lot again for this video.. tried many other things without succes...
