Clinton came into office during a stretch when times were good. He was responsible for signing NAFTA, which is the reason our job market is terrible. The Chinese have the fastest growing economy-our jobs are now theirs. Also, the telecom reform act sent jobs away. These policies took a while to erode our economy but look where we are now.

Both actions are needed for the developement of a nation built on a political and financial foundation that was truelly generated during the 80's after our fears, then as now, dictated. @bigsugar999 I agree that the Bush years were a waste. However, I don't think the success we had in those years was a result of what Clinton was doing. Clinton came into office during a stretch when times were good. He was responsible for signing NAFTA, which is the reason our job market is terrible. The Chinese have the fastest growing economy-our jobs are now theirs. Also, the telecom reform act sent jobs away. These policies took a while to erode our economy but look where we are now.

We have the highest unemployment rates ever-fact. We are in serious debt-fact. Spending is out of control-fact. Value of the dollar is shrinking-fact. Companies aren't increasing what they pay employess to accompany inflation and some are paying less-fact. Many small companies are working for nearly free just to keep their doors open.
