Doe he usually run on the left side of you when you are riding? There are some hunting breeds that tend to run on the left side of a rider ... makes me wonder if dogs are left pawed or right pawed - just like us.

Humans are usually right handed. This is because,

Animals use the side of the brain that us humans tend not to use and vise versa..
