The more the player progressed the faster the babies would fall. Letting three babies hit the ground and die would result in a game over.

You know, the app really is funny. And the whole furor and outrage makes it funnier. But that's the point of offensive humor. It shouldn't be up to Apple/Fox/MTV etc to decide what is indecent. It should be up to YOU. You don't like it, don't view it. You don't want your kids seeing, do a better job parenting them. Regarding the topic, I don't think any form of legal system has tried to censor the app in question, have they? Apple is free to remove it from their app store, and all people are free to find it offensive. Or not. So the constitution seem to work, no?

One of the reasons why I don't like the iphone. there are a lot of garbage shallow apps in the app store and there are now 1 billion downloads. Majority are cheap or free useless shallow apps approved by apple and they're proud it's now a billlion mark. Still no multitasking, no navigation, no good browser - all these are now available in the rest of the smartphones! The US majority are using the iphone and never knew about it or just cared about how good it looks but the phone part is bad

The difference "between shaking a baby and blowing a dudes head off with a shotgun in a VG" is that it's a baby being killed. If it was blowing babies' heads off with a shotgun, people would be outraged too! Plus, many babies die or are severely injured this way. Let's take a second to point out the obvious:
when you play this game, IT IS NOT directly killing babies, or helping achieve some sorta "kill-all-babies" world domination plan that you seem to think is behind it. It is called utilizing the gaming features of the product. And trust me... having this on a plane where there's 5 kids screaming on it, would be rather relaxing (if you deny that, you are lying to yourself, and thus you are clinically insane)

The one thing I hate about the iPhone, is Apple's strict censorship and policing of what goes onto the iPhone.
OK Baby Shaker is a pretty crummy and pointless application. However I've known several really good and useful applications been refused by Apple. One was a BASIC interpreter for the iPhone and another been a podcast aggregator.

The App is meant to be funny and satirical. It's great because this is actually bringing more press to the baby shaking movement. Many people are not educated on these types of things and with the app more people now know what is happening. The people who find this really disturbing should look at other video games that promote acts that are much worse.
