My hotmail was just attacked- they changed my password, got access to my contacts list of family, friends and customers and then sent everyone in my list an email that says I am in desperate need and I am in Europe and I need $2250 dollars immediately sent to me. Forums are full of hundreds of other windows live users with the same attacks as of July 30th, 2010. The Windows team says it was "down for maintenance" but they really got hacked and are to afraid to tell everyone.
Never had an issue with Hotmail until the new upgrade and now it crashed about 75% of the times I open it. Not just my browser, but it crashes my computer for about 2 minutes!!! Is there anyway back to the classic hotmail?
@P3t3rU5 Sure it has new things! Gmail doesn't have the sweep feature (it has filters, which are harder to use) nor does it have inline video watching or photo gallery. Also, it doesn't upload files or folders to, say, GDocs or Skydrive - everything is locked into an email.
I just figured it out! In the upper left column where it says 'folders,' click on the little gear-that's where 'manage folders' comes up.
Jeeze-what an exhausting search for a simple operation!!
