  • 1min20...

yeh that shut you up, little dog....

  • Nice. I have a question, did you flip the mirrors or did you buy a different one? I ask because I flipped mine and I find it very hard to look what is behind me. I can't find a way to adjust them correctly. Did you bend the mirror rod ? (stem - whatever is the proper english word for it).

    Thank you .

  • Your brake line is bent like crazy because of those bars. What are you going to do to fix that?

  • The best lookin Harley IMO!!!!! Love It!!

  • Where did you get your handle bars? Your bike is freakin sweet, bro!

  • sorry for the late reply man i never check this thing anymore. as for the bars, they are just drag bars with a 4" pullback you can find anywhere

  • dude you gotta get the burly slammer kit (black) i just threw them on mine, and i know they would pop on yours!! beautiful bike bro!

  • Linda.. uma das mais belas motos da Harley Davidson!!! 883 iron.

  • @degobah thanks for the response. What do you mean by mid controls?

  • I'm 5’2" and 150 pounds. Would this bike be too big for me?

  • nah man, you'd be fine. mid controls and its on

  • That's one way to shut that dog up!!

  • hey man, i wanna buy these for iron too, did u had any problems with the performance of your blacky?

  • does this exhaust add HP?

  • Very nice. still cant decide if I want an Iron 883 with $3000 worth of upgrades or a Victory Vegas 8-ball.

  • @MrJtr1888 get the xl 883 with the 3 grand, its way more wort it, check out mine and what i was able to do, even if you get the other bike, youll want to change something, ,

  • Nice Bike, fuckin great sound, i like to cry, because i only own the quiet german version........... and if you install this exhaust, the police will fuck you every day

  • This is what i call a beatifull bike! Only one question, where do you have hang the bracket? Thanks a lot !

  • Listen carefully, when the baby s idling she sounds like the band Meshuggah! ...ha ha.Love the sound,I d buy a harley just to listen to that engine all day .

  • No front mudguard means your whole front end/frame is going to be permanently sandblasted/mudblasted and turn into a totally tatty mess in only a few thousand miles -- really not too clever! I love those under-slung mirrors, but hate that asymmetric HUGE rear number-plate and speedometer -- just awful. Also, the ugly giant air-filter housing. She sounds lovely at idle on those V&H open-sounding pipes! Put the front mudguard back on asap.

  • Sexy bike

  • Hey do you know if i can flip my mirrors on stock handle bars without them hitting the gas tank on a full turn ?

  • Nice bike dude... I really hate the new(old?) Canadian rear fenders... I'm pretty sure i'm going to buy used because of it. I've been trying to find out why our idiot government would disagree with a side mounted plate from an OEM, but no luck. I know a guy with an '08 Nightster that got written up for the plate thing... he had to get a letter from harley saying it was designed this way before he could get out of the ticket. Ghey..

  • What's up man... just saw your ride on English Bay today. Nice ride. Just wondering how much does it cost to have that mod done? Also, where did you get that flat black exhaust from?

  • Nice, esp. the flat bars.

Good sound too. Like an airplane radial engine.

I may trade for one of these.

The dog was funny. Did he scamper off when you started up?

  • awesome bike, what exactly is your spedometer mounted to?

  • How did you go about chopping the fender? Dye grinder and a sharpie?

Planning on doing mine in the next few weeks (ugly ass brake light syndrome). And what is the trim piece you added to the fender after you cut it? Thanks

  • dam sweet bike bro

  • what kind of upgrades did you have to do in order to put that pipes

  • What size riser did you use on the drag bar?

  • nice bike bro..i'm getting one like this in 3 weeks...but these guys at work keep telling me thats a girl's bike

  • how did you black out the engine

  • just my opinion i would put some risers on that drag bar

  • Very nice bike!

  • Absolutelly cool bike. Thanks.

  • hey whatsup man you have a awesome bike

im bout to pick up my bike in a few days and i was just wondering how much cash you dropped into all these upgrades

  • not that much, maybe 6 bills, tops

  • @degobah No, you didn't. The denium (blacked out) version retails for 7,9k. V&H short shots are roughly $450 plus the mapping charge ($180) and labor ($330) plus the dealership charges (can be up to $1400). I'd know, I just bought a 2011 and the price diff hasn't changed that drastically (if at all) in a year. I pushed them to eat the dealership costs and labor and even I couldn't get this bike under 10k out the door after tax, title and licencing.

  • @RoninATX Just got a 2012 iron 883 stock with 2 miles on it for $9150 out the door. Don't know if this info helps.

  • how do you relocate your speedo? is it a kit you bought or did you have to fab something yourself?

  • nope, i just bought the bracket on ebay. search nightster handlebar clamp and then hooked up an autometer clamp to relocate the speedo, easy as pie

  • Which signal relocation kit did you use for your front signals?

  • $30 signal relocation from harley

  • nice work man, looks the goods. Only problem is your counties number plates are so big. in australia our bike plates are tiny.

  • that dummy light clamp......cool, where did you get it??? is it a harley part??? if so how much was it.....????

  • ebay dude, search nightster handlebar clamp - i think it was $130 or so

  • I know you have said that they were a 4" pullback on those bars. if they were any more would they have hit the tank? like a 4 1/2" or 5"? just curious because I have a set that are 28" wide and 4.5" pullback and are curious to know if they would work. Thanks. Great looking bike.

  • nah, they were fine. never hit the tank at all - only issue is with the brake cables as you have to adjust it so the bars can fit

    good luck

  • Great bike, sound is incredible, this is ma dream.

  • Nice bike bro. Love the handle bars and you can't go wrong with the short shots!

  • man this bike is AWESOME!

i'm definitely getting one when i get the $.

love what you've done to it...perfect bike!

look forward to seeing more vids.

  • thanks man, check out the new video above.

  • What about where you have relocated the mirrors, do they pose a problem??

  • i have since taken them off and replaced them with a single bar end mirror. but the way they were they were actually fine. better than how they are regularly placed

  • I'm in love with your bike

I want an Iron or a Nightster for 2010 ...I've tried a 2008 Nightster with Vance& Hines Black Ceramic Shorts Pipes+Intake Tuner last season and I 'm Sick since this time ....

Have FuN with your Dream Machine !!!

  • thanks a million for the kind words man, super appreciated. its a rad bike for sure, plus i just bought the 1200 hop up kit for the bike, so now it'll really be the shit!

  • How much for those vance and hines and did you install them yourselfe? If not, how much for labor? I'm planning on getting this bike, and those pipes sound SICK!

  • installed em myself, and i really have no tool skills whatsoever. pretty easy, just take your time, as it takes a few hours. thanks for the checkout

  • will you post a video with the new bars?

  • yeah man, i'm planning to do one in the next couple of days. i just changed the seat, and chopper the rear fender right further. just putting the bike back together and waiting for a sunny day to take a video. thanks for looking out

  • sorry again... are those bars comfortable?

  • yep, they were pretty good. 4" pullback so they were pretty comfy

  • Just another question... Do the vibrations have any effect on the speedometer?

  • not that i have noticed. seems fine to me

  • No problem in steering when you were running the bars shown in this video?

  • nah, they were fine. my cousin is running em on his nightster now and has no problems at all

  • Comment removed

  • now all you need is the springer seat and itll be right.

  • funny you say that as i am working on it right now

  • Great bike, can't wait to get mine and yes I too will have V&H shocks ;)

  • Interesting place for the speedometer.

  • those shortshots must be THE SHIT because everyone has them. im gonna get 'em on my iron....when i get the iron. ride hard bro!!!!

  • also did you have to change, adjust or do anything else to the cables and such for the bars?

  • how much is the pullback on your drag bars? it all looks good. nice bike.

  • not sure, maybe 4"? since the video the bars have been replaced and i am running a set of biltwell trackers, sooo much better, and nope, no changes at all needed to put the bars on. thanks

  • How much is for the V&H plus installation you think? - MR

  • i installed it myself, and the system was $399. that being said, it would probably take 1-2 hours for a shop to install the pipes, so another $100-150

  • oh my gosh,

    this bike is soooo cool.

    nice work!

  • thanks man. much appreciated.

  • hey bro, nice bike..did you cut the rear fender?? it seems shorter

  • i did indeed my man. the canadian version of the bike features the regular sportster rear fender instead of the nighster fender that comes on the bike everywhere else. it had to go!

  • hey buddy i LOVE your bike, getting mine next week. can you tell me the exact bar set-up you have, i think its perfect. did you have to shorten your cables for those bars? did you install them yourself?

  • thanks alot for the kind words man. the exact bar setup is just a set of drag bars from harley. didnt really checkout the width, nor pullback. but they were chrome when i got them. i scotchbrighted them and got the chrome off that way. you don't have to shorten your cables or anything, just have to move the brake cable slightly so the cable does not hit the tank. all the stuff on my bike i did myself, its all super easy. just be careful when taking the brake lever off, sometimes it slices out

  • that has the old school look to it! very nice!!! I have the 883r and our bikes are the best! they are good looking and great for the price! nice bike 5 stars all day!

  • thanks man, 883r is the business. i love that bike

  • hey mate!

im from Canada too eh! I just picked up one of these bikes as well - Just wondered where you got the chopped rear fender/light kit/side-mount plate? did you get this from the dealer in Canada, or did you have to get it from an american dealer? also, is this legal in Canada, i just wondered why its different from the American version and couldnt come up with any other conclusion....anyways, i love what you've done with it - keep the videos comin! Cheers

  • thanks for the checkout man. as for the fender, its actually just the stock one that i took a hacksaw to. chopped it, smoothed out the edge and threw on some fender edge protector from cdn tire. i then picked up a signal, brake and running light module from my hd dealer so that i could run the turn signal as the brakes. wired it all up and it was good to go. as for license plate bracket, i bought it from the internet. pretty cheap, maybe $20. so far no probs with the cops.

    thanks again

  • thanks for the quick reply man - another question if you don't mind - how much was the signal brake and running light module (maybe you have a part number) and was it easy to wire up?

and do you have the site where you picked up that side mount?

    thanks man, appreciate your help

  • you can buy the module from your HD dealer, kuryakn or a ton of other places. I think it was $60, and it comes with the red lens that you will need. its simple to setup, just plug into the existing harness and you are done. if you want to get rid of your big central brake light, you have to take out the part where the wires connect into the light and mount it somewhere else. me, i mounted it under the seat and routed all the wires through and it works fine.

  • One thing to note, make sure you mount the brake turn module as far away under the seat as possible, the one from HD is shit and melts with the slightest heat. I went through 2 of them, with this last unit mounted right on top of the fender rails under the corner of my seat. If i needed to buy another one, i would probably buy an aftermarket one as they are much better than the HD ones. As for the license plate bracket, i believe it was ebay, search seller ROAD 6 CUSTOMS . thanks again

    n

  • thanks for all the info man - i pick the bike up on Wednesday, and will probably start doin some of the same stuff you've done not long after - im stoked!

i will try to look for an aftermarket brake/turn module like you said, otherwise i guess ill go with the HD one as well - the chopped fender is so wicked man, awesome choice there! im a bit nervous about doin it, but i thinks its necessary for sure!

any other tips you have would be great man - again, GREAT job on the bike man! Cheers

  • looks sick dude! where did you get that handlebar clamp? if you dont mind me asking?

  • don't mind at all, actually bought it off ebay from buyer name, imageconceptz. super solid product. cleaned up the bars exactly the way i wanted, thanks

  • Looks great! How did you mount your turn signals?:)

  • its just a harley turn signal relocation kit that bolts onto the shock bolt. super easy install - they came in chrome, but that had to go and i painted em black. thanks for checkin out

  • SOOOOO sick man!

    Great job!!!!

    Are you from Toronto too?

  • thanks for the hype up man, appreciated. Not from TO, all the way west, Vancouver my man.

  • Oh right on thats wicked.

Keep the vids coming man! I think we all want to see more of your stunning 883!

  • What if we were to spray the handlebars with some flat black rustolium?

Am I out of line by saying this.

This bike just looks sickly amazing in it's all flat black terror stance.

  • agreed. since the video the bars have been switched out for a set of nash 2" drag bars in black & you were right it did look better. thanks for the checkout

  • We chopped our back fenders identical. I would remove the front blinkers...otherwise, sweet bike!!!

  • yeah, i was thinking that too. but, I ride it alot in traffic so i'll leave em for now. maybe get the smaller led ones? thanks

  • Beautiful!!

  • thanks man. changed it up slightly with some new drag bars from nash motorcycles and a new air cleaner on the way. i'll post up another vid when its all done. thanks again for checking out the video

  • Did you get the smoked out turn signals from e-bay as well?

  • nah, from harley

  • Hey great bike! how about the mirrors, do they give you any trouble with the tank? cheers from italy!

  • not at all. i actually just took them off and added a round bar end mirror from licks cycles, much better field of view

  • Did you do something to make your idle lower? Sounds like it's idling slower than my bike.

  • nope, nothing at all. might have done something by accident when switching out the bars, but nothing intentional

  • Looks like the V-Rod without front fender

    Great bike

  • thanks man, much appreciated

  • Nice! Did you make the barclamp yourself?

  • i wish i did. actually bought it off ebay from buyer name, imageconceptz. super solid product. cleaned up the bars exactly the way i wanted, thanks for the check out
