ummm im just saying this as a fan of the raptor family the tail would not move as much as u have it now it would be very stiff well from what the dino experts say....i would use the name but i for got how to spell that :P
I wonder what they saw at the end?, plus could you send me the velocirpator instead , because I have to pay 5 US dollars, I don't think NZ dollars are allowed.
@Widwo1324 A hamburger in this country costs $6.25 ! So you say I do not even deserve half hamburger for a good full rigged model ready for animation right out of the package? Now I must say :(
@Tapajara Well Velociraptor is a term introduced by Steven Spielberg when creating the Movie Jurassic Park, now Raptors itself belonged to cretaceous as you said, they even had feathers looking like land birds. Their size were no bigger like a child height. However I know what you tried to mean !
@blenderguy2008 The genus Velociraptor was not introduced with Jurassic Park. Velociraptor was discovered by the Roy Chapman Andrews (American Museum of Natural History) expedition to the Gobi desert of Mongolia. It was described in 1924 and was dated from 75 to 71 million years ago (Late Cretaceous). The animal in Jurassic Park was actually patterned after Deinonychus (another real animal) which was a late Cretaceous dromaeosaur from North America.
@blenderguy2008 Velociraptor was used by Michael Crichton in his book Jurassic Park before Spielberg adapted it into a movie. But neither of them introduced the word Velociraptor (and, please, it's not a 'term').
@blenderguy2008 Have they ever proved that Velociraptors had feathers? There actually is a "Velociraptor" dino (it wasn't invented by Steven Spielberg), who they say belonged to the Cretaceous period. However, even a very recent program says they "possibly" had feathers, but has yet to be absolutely proved, so don't worry if people spam you about it not having feathers, it's cool anyway :)
@JeretKings Thanks man ! I have read that some species had feathers, but as you said it hasn't been proven anyways. However It would be cool to make a version with feathers to have both theories rolling on the road.
@blenderguy2008 Your welcome! Yeah, I think they look cool with feathers on their heads, elbows, and tip of their tails. They look kinda funny with their whole body covered in feathers.
@CatLover543 I don't think so, however I have never tried it out. Usually the model can be exported with all textures and UVs, but the Armature can't. :(
@sobaver well your raptor is not bad. Actually I model using a similar way. I just make a whole shape first instead of extruding, it really does not matter. Plus your raptor is great considering you made it under the clock. Tutorials in real time are very hard to make. Your raptor just need a second advance tutorial for deeper details, but that would be very long videos and people might not understand if you go to deep in your modeling. Specially you would need to split the tutorial :)
@JPlover2010 hey JPlover, we are pending with the Geckos pics ! Leopard model is on the way, but I need good reference pictures for that. Side and top view mainly. A close up of the texture would really help ! So I can UV paint it from the pic. High resolution.
I wish I could animate and model like you..
