First, it's a bomber not a cargo aircraft, carrying a weapon inside a bomber doesn't make it a cargo aircraft, it's still a bomber. Second, the weapons on board are too big to fit inside the "cargo compartment" which is why they are wing mounted. Third, if there was a nuclear detonation inside any country, samples could be taken from ground zero, analyzed and you can find the country it was made by trace elements from the warheads. The ground crew will pull the fuze pin and ready the weapon then the master arm allows for weapons release. With Nuclear weapons there are several safeguards that prevent unauthorized launches.

First, it's a bomber not a cargo aircraft, carrying a weapon inside a bomber doesn't make it a cargo aircraft, it's still a bomber. Second, the weapons on board are too big to fit inside the "cargo compartment" which is why they are wing mounted. Third, if there was a nuclear detonation inside any country, samples could be taken from ground zero, analyzed and you can find the country it was made by trace elements from the warheads. This vid is lunacy.

The particular weapons in question can only be carried externally and not inside the payload bay, they are too big to fit in any available configuration.

Missile on wing unarmed is useless. If the plane had crashed, the warhead was hot and armed and ready to launch with code.

@euro944t Actually every bomber has a master arm for any weapon that is on board. This is a safety feature that was brought over from conventional weapons. The ground crew will pull the fuze pin and ready the weapon then the master arm allows for weapons release. With Nuclear weapons there are several safeguards that prevent unauthorized launches.

If the US would've wanted to use nukes for real it would've mobilized an enormous amount of forces out of Iraq and then launched a couple of MinutemanIII or any other ICBM they keep in siloes, to use bombers is costly, and dangerous...too many variables to consider.

This was no accident Bush made a direct order to attack Iraq with nuclear weapons. The news reporters were told to say that they were transfering the nukes to another facility when it was really attacking...Notice how they were loaded on the wings not in the cargo area...

Thats also true TECHKLEC, the pilots should have verified they're payload but failed 2 do so. But yea either way it was ALL HUMAN ERROR, there are no "SECRET" plans 2 nuke Iran or some shit. How come the don't talk about ANY of the Airman who were kicked out of the Air Force or the Wing Commander or The 5th Munitions Squadron Commander gettin an "Early Retirement"? You guys are idiots.....Heres what happen: When we DEMIL. (demilitarize) nukes we do a "Tactical Ferry" when the weapons were taken out we were in a hurry so we didn't do a "missile safe status check" to see if they were cold because we assumed they were. then they loaded them up and sent them off. Then Barksdale did the missile safes and found them. btw you can't "Prime" nuclear weapons dumbass. Also the only way to fly ALCMs is on the pylon or a CSRL. It's impossible to have them as "cargo"

The pilot should have caught that on preflight inspection if it was recorded in the forms. If he didn't catch it, then HE fucked up and if it wasn't in the forms, then the LOAD CREW CHIEF fucked up. Either way, it's a big human error.

This is funny' so I do a little research on the 3rd Brigade coming to Georgia (USA) for civil military training in CBRNE/CCMRF exercises in case of Nuclear attack,, sorta like the 9/11 and London Subway exercises on the same day as the actual attacks, and the name of the exercise is "Vibrant Response". If you switch the letters around you get a few funny ones like "Braver Penis Snot" but the scariest anagram is "Observant Sniper".

Also, I'am absolutly positive there are some kind of markings on them to distinguish the real/live one from the fake/dummy load. Else you would of be having a lot more mistakes in the past. Bad ones too. To mistake the two, would be like Mistaking your wife for the lady next door. Not possible. Unless one was blind. I really don't think blind men do the check out of nukes, live ones or dummy ones.

tem593 there are more than just markings,whenever nukes are present,there is a group of armed guards surrounding the plane and/or weapons at all times,and they cant just pull m out of an ammo dump,they have to be processed and many levels of command notified before they are to be moved,which was not the case here

Like I was saying before. In the Military, NOTHING is over looked, missed. If the military can clean up a crash site as clean as a whistle like Roswell NM. in 1947, without missing a thread. Then I'm sure they are not going to anything when it comes to transporting nukes across U.S. airspace. The Janitor is NOT the one that loads these on the plane, that much is for sure.

People. Smell the bull when you see it. Piolets ALWAYS KNOW was their carring. especially in the military, weather in the cargo hold or on the wing. Ask youself this. sence it only takes a few strokes of a cockpit keypad to arm them, IF they can do all this bull by mistake, whats to say they can't make a mistake on the keypad? Of course though, once it's done...It's done right? Who you going to blame? Dead pilots?

No disrespect taken, I was a 2W291 I am no longer in the AF. I now work for a military contractor; I will leave it at that. If youre a 2W2 right now I respect that, and as far as I know correct me if I am wrong, but there are only around 80 2W2 in the air force if my memory serves me correct. My back ground is in the security of wma areas when I was in the AF, I no longer serve in my past profession.

Actually the pilots are told what they are flying with and you have to do certin steps in the T.O. to know if its WR or not. You couldn't tell just by looking at them.
