  • Adolph Lessor taught my two sisters how to play in Greeley, Mary and Patsy.

Mom, Pat, still plays very well. Hi to the Hergenraders, the Fritzlers, Herman the German, and many more. Pat and my deceased Grandma Katie loved to dance at Clancy's every Sunday afternoon until close. Cheryl Korkos

  • it looks very well to see You practize our culture . Where in Kansas are the most Germans?

  • We still play this at my families weddings in Colorado.

  • Mine too ))). Unfortunately, these 5 videos are all I´ve got from this year´s Convention. But if you are from Kansas, you must have a lot of local musicians who play the traditional VG music. There is an Octoberfest going there, too.

  • Actually I am from Littleton CO, my parents and extended family are from St. Peter & Hays KS. I know of many musicians from the area.

  • I´ve been to Colorado this summer (Sterling, Brush, Denver area). Lots of people of Volga German descent there. Lots of things to see and to know about.

Hope to be able to go to one of the Polka Dance Nights next time I am in this area.

  • Grew up in longmont, CO... I know all of these songs by heart, they make me miss my Grandparents

  • Thanks! No, I am from the old country. Though I´ve travelled thru Western Kansas twice, stayed in Hays and Topeka.

  • My ancestors are German from the Volga Region in Russia. I hope you post some more songs, they are great!
