  • That was fantastic, I love the way you've created it + it looks beautiful.

  • MY FAVE BATTLES!!!!

    1.Setsuka vs. Amy

    2.Setsuka vs.Mitsurugi

    3.Setsuka vs.Algol

  • how do you do a machinima in SC:BD?

  • Nice...

  • Another excelent video, well done. Out of curiosity, did you have any refferences by Namco as to what Setsuka's Master looked like, or did you just use your imagination? You did a great job creating him either way.

  • Very good. awe-inspiring and truly traditional. Well Done.

  • beautiful...

  • That was epic!

  • GREAT Video and GREAT Ladypower^^

  • That was epic... Too bad my third favorite character killed my first favorite character. Oh well. Good job!

  • As a practitioner of chinese martial arts game recognize game! Great vid with two of my favorite characters in the saga!

  • the video is great, but It kinda bugs me to have to read the text since I dont understand japanese... can you make an english dub? please?

  • This movie and Heishiro are great, they really bring out the beauty of the Soul Calibur saga.

Let's hope Namco is not dumb enough to kill the franchise.

  • This is really touching! I loooooove this! :D But i prefer her looks on her hazel eyes and dark hair :) Seriously did a great job! :D

  • Hi. I love these soul calibur videos! What will the next video be like?

  • this video is AMAZING, but dont you have any better quality?

  • Mitsurugi... Noooooooooooooooooo :) very good vid!!

  • Awesome. Favorited.

  • Nice, impressive.

  • i want to deflower setsuka

  • Well executed! I've NEVER seen fighting as good as that! Very well done! I loved it! ^_^

  • Tolle gemacht ! Gefällt mir wirklich gut.

  • Someone should make a real movie about Setsuka. It should be about her life and journey of getting revenge for her master and the ending should be like yours or she can lose the battle. Both endings sound EPIC but it would be sad if Setsuka dies =( she's my favorite character lol

  • Excellent! Well done! I love this video! Congratulations!

  • so players can make their own movie in SC4?

  • @bluekingkongkymm No, they cant. At least not directly. if you mean movies like this, they cant make movies just from the game alone. This is machinima made by capturing video, editing, adding dialogie, sound effects, music, scripting etc.. The only thing you can do in the game is just customize characters and have them show up in the ending scene with whatever they are wearing.

  • @skytoast1 So, how do you record the clips and get them onto your computer to be edited in the first place? And what programmes do you use to allow more than one character to be on the stage at once? It all looks very complicated and you still manage to do it magnificently.

  • Wow This Is So Beautiful....

  • this no soul calibur iv

  • AMAZING WORK!

  • Hell yes, Setsuka rules! Cha!!!!

  • It's kind of funny how they still able to talk so much despite the super intense fighting lol. Good video overall.

  • hahahaha incredible.... Setsuka rules

  • Oh, wao! This video is gorgeous!

I realize that all you did was move the camera around in replay mode, but still! You've certainly made a lot with only a little.

    すばらしいですよ~~

    -applause-

  • All the girls on Soulcalibur have the prettiest face models anyone has ever seen :P

  • Setsuka's got the prettiest female face game model I've ever seen!

  • @SasTheVirtuous then you must not have seen lightning

  • Man, you must read a lot of manga.

  • Or just read the bio

  • @SKSNS Na... I was referring to the captions. Excellent trash talking is common there.

  • good vid u should do one for tira vs voldo

  • これは 本当の 芸術だ!

  • ありがとうございます.

  • Very well done! Where can I download this?

  • Freaking amazing skytoast1 i really like these videos you make, you should try making a non canon story, where its like episodes...i'd really like that.. just an idea tho

  • sick vid u made

u should deff sub and do one for siegfried

  • That was so cool. Setsuka never looked so good!

  • damn!!!!!!!!! ur freaken awesome!!!!

  • That was fantastic!

  • damn you are good!

  • love it!

  • Hey suggestion I think you should do one about Tira and her journey :D!

  • dude make another one i wanna see miturugis road to recovery :P

  • Very beautiful work. I never knew that you could change the camera for Replays, and after seeing just how short those sequences are makes me appreciate this work of art a lot more. Both thumbs up from me.

Man, I sure hope that Tekken 6 will include a Replay feature like Soul Calibur 4. Imagine the fast paced action videos you could do with this game! Damn I say!

  • i am sort've hoping for that. perhaps somebody at Namco have seen these videos and could have suggested it. it be a great thing for fans.

  • Indeed. Just thinking about it gets me excited. Great as it is, there only so much you can do with Soul Calibur before you run out of ideas. Your videos already showed me things I've never seen before.

But Tekken 6 with all it's options, weapons and destructible would make some truly epic fights. Imagine a fight between Jin and Kazuya, using your skills and the things you can do with Tekken 6 ... a beautiful sight indeed.

  • I wouldn't be so sure of limiting what you can do with Soul Calibur. I have about 8 more stories written up for this series and could probably do quite a bit more if I feel up to it. But doing this exact thing with a different game engine would be a welcome thing. I also have an Ace Combat project I still need to do. I've always wanted to do a car chase scene but I'm still looking for the right game engine with good camera controls and no hud getting in the way.

  • True. Perhaps it's my lack of skill in Soul Calibur that limits me, hehe. A Ace Combat project sounds cool. Watching Videos of those games always remind me of Top Gun, minus Tom Cruise, which is a good thing. For the racing game, perhaps Burnout Paradise would do? In the older Burnout titles you could watch the Replay of your race and change the camera. I don't know if that's the case with Burnout Paradise though. I only have my PS2...

  • I think u made a mistake because setsuka's master is supose to use the same fighting style as her. not mitsurugi"s... O.O

  • If you pay attention, I tried to focus on his strikes by drawing the sword and re-sheathing it - an art found in Iaido & Battoujutsu. I tried some tests using the umbrella but it just looked wrong as he would have held a feminine stance. Mitsurugi who practices a mixture of various sword arts (Kenjitsu, etc..) also has elements of Iaido. So I used those move sets. Plus the umbrella was gift which she used to surpass her master and create a style that is uniquely hers so it sets her apart.

  • do study fighting styles before you do this cause you said drawing and re-sheathing the sword

  • SO how exactly did you this. With all the great Graphics and camera angles and stuff.

  • With lots of patience, work and forsight to see the project thru. lol. You can control the camera in training mode during replay loops but you can only playback last 7-8 seconds. So it takes a lot of time to grab scene by scene. It helps to plan in advance what you want. For all of these films, I write a script/treatment and devise story board layout way before actually "filming". The rest is movie magic in post editing effects and final editing.

  • Woah. That sounds really cool. Sounds really hard though. I might try something out and fail LOL. So did you use a recorder or a camera. Awsome video by the way.

  • it's not really hard.. well I take that back, some of the sequences in these films drove me nuts and I probably have carpal tunnel syndrome cuz of it. lol Actually its time consuming. It helps if you have knowledge in real filmaking, photography & cinematography. Having the right gear to help speed the workflow helps too. I list the hardware/software I used in the ending credits.

  • Oh thats cool then I'll take a look at the credits.

  • very well done i'll say that filled in the gap nicely. i always wondered bout lots of the showdowns and how some of them turned out

  • Fantastic work, fantastic ending, fantastic everything!

  • Amazing work! <3 Sets.

  • Man that was awesome!!!I love setsuka(but i can't play with her her movements are too complicated :/ )Anyway what's the next project you're workin on? :P

  • that's a secret.. so is the next one after that and the one after that... lol really, I dont know right now, I havent decided yet. Kinda taking a breather now and try to enjoy the warm weather outside. But the still on track to make the next few films lead up to finale - the final showdown between Siegfried and Nightmare.

  • Well you should relax it's summer, and i really hope one of those next project's to include Cervantes!!! :P

  • <3333 LOVE IT

  • Wow, I really liked it.

The Heishiro I liked for camera works, editing and all that stuff. After that I started studying the SC replay camera. And thanks for the tips back there =)

This one I liked cuz you used my fav character. Really beautiful.

The way you made them talk was intelligent. Liked that.

    Congrats man!

P.S. I did a Setsuka movie before I get to know there was a way o have fun with the camera. A combo movie in my channel If you like. "Blade Of hatred - Setsuka Combo Act"

  • good job

  • Well done, but I missed the obvious 2KB and JF Umbrella. :)

  • I guess I could have squeezed that in there along with some other moves and combo as well but it's not a skills project (and I'm not really that good with Setsuka either.. lol). It's just a fan made visual narrative so the focus was on the story.

  • Really great movie, looks like an official movie

  • Pretty awesome! Keep it up! Setsuka is one of the fastest characters in Soul Calibur as she very swift and powerful strikes!

  • Very good vid, great editing and montage, gj.

  • AWESOME!

  • It was AMAZING!!! Of course I'm not biased ::cough cough::, but I loved the fight scenes in this video so much. The dodges and parries were excellently timed, and the video during the credits was so well done. A lot of emotion and feeling in there. Brilliant job!!

  • Please turn on captions to watch with subtitles (if you so desire). Also as a side note, if after switching from SD to HD the subtitles appear off center in the middle of the screen toggle off and on captioning to correct it back to the bottom of the screen.
