  • I just jizzed my pants!

  • Great Video, with a HUGE error in it. In Pontiac, there was NO such thing as a Big Block. ALL Pontiac V-8's from the 326, through the 455, were based off the same Block, with different Bores and Strokes.

  • the Trans Am SE ( Bandit edition) ran up to '85. my dad's is a SE Trans am, and it still turns heads!

  • Ughhh there is NO Trans Am coming out. Pontiac is dead, the Firebird is dead. Just let it go.

  • @FrostyC5 I bet that John De Lorean turned in his grave when he got the news.

  • actually ... the 73 SD455 Trans-Am had 310hp and dropped to 290hp in 74. do your research.

  • @trubolt That were Pontiac figures... in reality that engines were far more powerful when tested...

  • Weather you like Imports, Exotics, or any other toys, this car will get the respect it always deserves and got--Not only is the Trans Am America...The Trans Am is an American Icon, and an automotive legend. '67-02.

  • 4:58 wilson 1000/ 5000 cb antenna

  • I miss the Trans Am but sales fell due to the price tag. I bought an 85' with the 305 tuneport injection for $15,000. Fast as hell and affordable, then the prices started to get real high. Probably to keep up with the competition but remember that alot of young kids are the buyers. Kids can't afford a $35-40,000 car nowadays.

  • @redhead5150 '85, the real controversial year, i think, you were either real muscle man with the carbed T/A, or the whimp with the F.I. T/A. my dad's 85 T/A is Carbed, but in the door handles on the out side reads "Fuel Injection". it was like that 'cuz in '86 or '87 it was stolen and striped, then a guy bought it and fixed it, and ended up selling it to my dad. it is his first car he bought, still has it, and 47,000 miles! LONG LIVE PONTIAC!

  • One of the coolest cars ever.

  • all in a pharse; the Trans Am is America

  • Knight Rider 2000

  • I dont think pontiac's gonna be making a new trans am.those shitty foreign cars are destroying the american car companies.

  • @TriggerHappyLunatics with the success of the recent mustang and rebirth of the camaro, and what with the whole dodge thing i'm hopeful that "made in America" will mean something again, anyway if they do start production of a Trans AM, I hope they go big and it better have a T-top

  • @TriggerHappyLunatics um...actually dude, its GMs fault for canceling Pontiac so they could keep their fucking ugly ass Hummer and plastic jesus Saturn line.

  • @TriggerHappyLunatics The sad truth is that that shitty foreign front wheel drive shits are being bought by the people...

  • i cant wait to get a firebird im going to make babies with it

  • HOLY SHIT, 0-100 in 10 secs FUCK, that thing is fast for the 70's. most cars today do 0-60 in 8-14 secs (not hight preform cars)

  • just saw this on TV. badass video. I've always loved the trans am ever since smokey and the bandit and knight rider and myself own a 1995 Trans Am

  • This video is awesome, it is nice to see that the Modern Marvels folks know and appreciate the Screamin Chicken, Firebird, Trans AM or what ever you call it. It is the greatest car ever made!!!

  • the 455 wasnt a big block. all pontiac engines were the same size dimensionally.. a 326 was the same size as a 455 and everything in between....

  • are u stupid if a 326 was bored out to 455 cubic inches there would be no block left a 455 is a big block a small block at the most can be bored to 418 cubic inches and the cam has to be moves

  • This staement just shows you don't know anything about the Pontiac family of engines.

There were NO big or small block Pontiac blocks. Their outside dimentions are the same, all through the years and cubic inch range.

  • I owned a "Small Block" Olds 403V8 with a stock bore of 4.351. That's the largest V8 bore in the world to be put in a mass production car, even a Big Block. The 403 bore was slightly bigger than a Caddy 500v8, but because of the same stroke as an Olds 260v8 (the 3.385 stroke that was used in 260-307-330-350-403), it's 403 cubes. The Chevy 409, which was Chevy's 2nd big-block (348 was their first) had a bore almost as big as my small block 403 Olds.

  • Pontiac is the only division I know to use just one V8 block from 1955-79. Hard for some to believe 287thru455 is the same block. 287-317-326-347-350-370-389-400-421-428-455s all have the same EXTERNAL dimensions/weight. And from 59-79 the only real INTERNAL block difference was bore/stroke. 1959-79--> Only 3 strokes were used---> 3.75 stroke 326-350-389-400, 4.0 421-428, 4.206 455. The 265/301 of 1980-81 was a butchered/decked version of the 55-79. It weighed about 200 pounds less.

  • Cool.

    Keep on truckin!
