Aerosmith was a bit glam in that the main band they were trying to cop was The New York dolls. If you talk to people who were around at the time Aerosmith came out you would hear the same thing. Also Jack Douglas, Aerosmiths long time producer, attests to the fact that Aerosmith were NOT trying to cop the stones as the critics supposed but were in fact trying to "be the dolls".
