  • @CBR11X I agree i have had 5 of them . my first 4 was all 750h models.

    I went back to having a slabside a few years ago , and this being my 1st 1100h have not looked back since. Amazing bike. Not as fast as the latest but what a ride.

    The looks of the early g-h models are great , and being tool fit me too.

    That 5th gear roll-on made my jaw drop. I'm not that much into straight line riding, but I really need to get now an old 1100 oiler and boost it. My K6 looks like a toy compared to this in raw acceleration.

  • @Lahi79, impressive setup man, i'm going to use the original (1127) setup too because my cilinders and pistons are still in good shape, i think of using a Garrett T25 or 28 to get around 200hp, i would be happy with that since it's my first turbobike.

  • @demotorduvel1 Thanks! If you are choosing between T25 and T28, go for the T28. But the Mitsu TD04-16T is perfect for that engine with stock internals. The T25 is too small. You will have boost very early (good on car but bad on motorcycle) and the bike will just bounce the front wheel up and down because you have 8000 rpm left with boost pressure. Kangaroo warning. Wheelies at higher rpm is much easier to handle. And high boost pressure @ low revs = much torqe @ low revs = gearbox failure

    Thanks. (This is my bike, see my profile for more videos). When this video was made in 2005 (if I remember correctly...) I used a Mitsubishi TD04-16T off a Volvo 850R (perhaps it was from T5-R?) Anyway, a 16T it was. Dynoed to 266 hp @ the wheel at 16 psi and 301 hp @ the wheel at 21 psi. Stock pistons, rods and cylinders. 1052 cc.

  • Now the engine is at 1195 cc and has Hayabusa forged pistons, bored out Bandit cylinders and a KKK K24 from a Volvo V70R. Boost pressure is up to 27 psi. Not dynoed with this setup, but should give about 340 hp at the wheel.

    Last thing: I have collected some parts for next winter, so on my garage shelf is a Schwitzer S200 (fast spooling and big, good for 550 hp) from some truck, an external wastegate and some more things to get the rear wheel horsepower to the right side of 400 hp. Hopefully close to 450.

  • GSXR1100s shared same bottom end of motor as RF900-very strong engines and can take a big turbo. You can make an old bike frighteningly quick with the right turbo set up. Its really funny when you meet a modern "standard" superbike & blow it away.

  • pure stupidity @ neosophist first off the ONLY thing you got right is the years... in 2000 the gsxr 1000 took over as the litre class... the hayabusa was in a whole other class and has nothing to do with the 1100cc 5 speed gsxr of yesteryear so the new version of this bike you are thinking of is the GSXR 1000 not the hayabusa and at ssbredal... those kawasaki 1400's aka the "busa killers" are a over weighted slow to launch crock of shit.. i witnessed the drag races, the busa's always won.

  • Tjena! Kul att du gillar hojen :) Jodå, den går minst lika bra nu! Har fått lite mer pulver. Större turbo (KKK K24 från S60R), Hayabusa kolvar, Bandit 1200 cylinderrad (ger 1195 cc), andra kamtider mm mm. Dessutom har det fått justerbar långsving. Från original hjulbas, till +10 cm. Ska bänka och justera in på måndag, och hoppas på 100 hästar till jämfört med tidigare. Gött!

Jo, den pinnar på ganska bra ;-) Bakdäck äter den ju, konstigt vore det annars, men jag har ändå kommit 400 mil på mitt Metzeler Roadtech Z6. Hyfsat tycker jag! Soppan är inte så farligt, den dricker som innan. 0,75 blandad körning, och då gasar jag hyfsat på rakorna. Anledningen är att man inte kan ligga på laddtryck så länge eftersom det går alldeles för fort ganska snabbt...
