philipmah, because these days it's more about show and image than talent, and how well you can speak (rap) to music instead of sing, or roll around on the stage instead of having to sing on key. I know it's disgusting, as I haven't liked the change either. There are a few good artists today like what you see here, which used to be the norm, not the exception like it is today.
