@senudin77 One of the earliest candidates, sure... But, I don't think there was a first... It's like looking at every tiny little hue change in the rainbow individually and asking where the first blue occurs. Each hue is indistinguishable from the last. Over time things change enough to become decidedly blue with varying opinions over where blue actually starts. But again, each notch of hue is indistinguishable from the last
Which song is the first rock&roll song is a purely subjective matter.

I said RnB earlier, and "dankwarth" said it´s more rocknroll. After some more listening I would say it is RnB/Gospel with some sort of early RnR feeling... :-)

OK, I figured out that this presentation doubtless derives from the modern CD, *remastered* from the original recordings. That's why it sounds more 'hi-fi.' CD title is "The Gospel of the Blues."
