For reference, the ? next to Mike Herriot is Brad Turner. If you check back and see this, you should definitely update your list of who's who...Brad's won a couple Juno's, so it might be good to have his name on the list
What a balls up. So many good players and living legends and one phenomenal balls up. How to look in lost in 20 different ways on one of the most heard big band charts in history.
@bigclipper You assume waaaaay too much. You have no idea how good of a musician I am or who I play for. A tin eared fool would cringe at that out of tune tripe. What do you mean by hater? If it describes the obvious, you consider it hate? CLIFF belongs in a high school marching band where he can blow that gut wagon crap till his hearts content. Not only was it in poor taste, but there are Salvation Army musicians with better talent than his fat ass.
wycliffe surprised everyone so much they got lost and the next soloist didn't come in so by the time he decided to keep going it was too late hahaha. then he had to add his two cents worth at the end. awesome vid
Who wouldn't dig what Severinsen was doing.. but man, Wycliffe can kill you with his trombone sound. I had the pleasure of meeting him in my youth Jazz Ensemble.
I'm a trumpet player and I love all these players but could they have walked on Wycliffe any more? I couldn't even hear the last few phrases. Man he was killin it too.
Jim Murray is his name and "just the lead player from the Prime Time big band" is a bit of an understatement I think seeing as how Andrea Tofanelli and Chris Jaudes asked for him to be in the line... And they both expressed that he can certainly hold his own next to these monsters...
Okay I've replaced the two ?'s with the names y'all gave me; someone check my work pls.

The player between Andrea Tofanelli and Jens Lindemann is Jim Murray, a friend of mine. He is also in the Prime Time Big Band in Calgary, Alberta.
