The issue here is that we have changed those cycles (historical records aren't an entirely valid argument when dealing with new phenomena). We did this with CO2.

Changing CO2 levels are not a couse of global warming. Cap & Trade is not about climate change, it is about increased government control and it artificially creates a need to move off fossil fuels. Will that need produce a better alternative, or will it merely be destructive? Why isn't nuclear power being mentioned at all? Yep, it looks like the same old Carol Browner's EPA who wasted time and resources to publish their infamous 1992 report on 'environmental tobacco smoke' which was a meta-analysis of other studies where they had to lower the confidence interval from the standard 95% they use on all their other studies to 90% on this one in order to come up with anything that looked like a finding and even that was barely statistically significant according the Congressional Research Service.

In fact, I don't doubt that we would easily adapt to one of those climate cycles over the large timespans that they occur. The issue here is that we have changed those cycles (historical records aren't an entirely valid argument when dealing with new phenomena). We did this with CO2.

Not by replacing Clean Air Act regulation with another economically ruinous scheme like cap-and-trade, but with clean pre-emption language that removes the threat. Explain to me then Why Temperatures in NY have not gotten over 90 degrees this summer. And it is normal for them to get up to 98 degrees. Yes we may exhale carbon dioxide but it's in an unnatural abundance of it in the atmosphere. We have a lot more people than we used to, and with all the urbanization and destroying of the rainforests, we have less plants to take in the carbon dioxide. Animals were created by nature to breathe. Smokestacks weren't.

Look up your facts people. The so-called EPA document wasn't written by a scientist, it was written by an economist. The paper doesn't even have good sources. If you don't believe me do a little bit of research and don't take the Fox News bait. Global warming is scientific fact, and denying it would be the same as denying the earth is round.

This is a very misleading video. First, it's on James Inhofe's YouTube account, a crackpot Senator who said he was proud that no one in his family is gay. The title is of the video is EPA's secret document, but Alan Carlin's website clearly refers to it as an "unpublished report prepared for the US Environmental Protection Agency but not representing the Agency's views". It's possible that not everyone in the EPA agrees on the global warming issue. His "EPA" document didn't include any research

Changing CO2 levels are not a couse of global warming. Cap & Trade is not about climate change, it is about increased government control and it artificially creates a need to move off fossil fuels. Will that need produce a better alternative, or will it merely be destructive? Why isn't nuclear power being mentioned at all? Without nuclear, it appears destruction of what we have rather than creation of something yet unknown is the goal.

You can debate a degree or two of global warming all day. However there is no evidence that global warming (if it exists) is cause by humans. From the research I've done many of the planets on the milky way are heating(solar warming) it has little, if anything to do with SUVs or carbon emitting factories.

CO2 concentrations in earth's atmosphere move with temperature.
Both temperatures and CO2 have been steadily increasing for 18,000 years.
Ignoring these 18,000 years of data "global warming activists" contend recent increases in atmospheric CO2 are unnatural and are the result of only 200 years or so of human pollution causing a runaway greenhouse effect.

Also usually the issue with local weather has less to do with computers and forcasters, and more to do with how much money you want to spend on geostationary satellites.
Local weather stations usually prefer the far cheaper ground stations, mixed in with generic data.

Let me clarify I don't disagree with a slight rise in temperature & a slight rise in the amount of CO2. I guess the core disagreement would be rather the "science" of drawing a link between the 2. You speak of the last 9 years or @ least 98 & 08 as "noise" due to from what I gather el Nino & la nina. None of this is proof unless you believe undoubtedly the slight rise in temperature is due to CO2 levels. The verdict is not in. What happens if the chart starts going down? Still skeptical.

less than 2/1,000 of all CO2 is produced by human activity. So even if we wiped out every car, power plant, jet liner, and human being from the face of the earth, there would be no noticeable effect on global CO2 levels. The most important greenhouse gas by far is water vapor, which evaporates from oceans, lakes and rivers. Water vapor accounts for up to 90% of the earth's greenhouse effect.
