actually yes finisher05 the original bullmastiffs were highly prized to be brindle in their coat. what they were originaly bread for was to sneak up on trespassing poachers and knock them over and pin them until the game keeper could arrive. the brindle coat helped them blend in with the brush cover in the night.

Actually smaller pit bulls have an advantage of taller dogs, where it is a lot easier for them to get to the larger dog's throat. And even though pit bulls are small, they are extremely tough and strong it's incredible, and have a stronger bite than almost any breed. My dog suprises me all the time of how tough and strong he is for his size.

pitbull can eat a great dane for breakfast.. great danes are very impressive dogs visually - show dogs but not fighters.. old english mastiffs also stand little chance against pitbulls.. in a fight, pitbull is going to circle around a big mastiff until it gets tired and slow and then make a deadly attack with its powerfull jaw and overwhelming energy.. english mastiff would have to go for the kill at the very beginning if it wanted to stand a chance..

Yeah, exactly. I was just pointing out that just because a dog is bigger that it would win. Actually smaller pit bulls have an advantage of taller dogs, where it is a lot easier for them to get to the larger dog's throat. And even though pit bulls are small, they are extremely tough and strong it's incredible, and have a stronger bite than almost any breed. My dog suprises me all the time of how tough and strong he is for his size.

i have a pit and pitbulls are my dog of choice. But i was surprised when i learned that rottweilers have a harder bite force then pits and bull mastiffs are almost double the bite force of pits. Your can look it up on youtube they have bite force videos.

"Pit Bull" isn't a breed, its a term used to describe a certain group of dog breeds. This is NOT a Bullmastiff or an American Pit Bull Terrier. Looks more like a Cane Corso mix or Presa Canario mix. Either way, its a mutt. No offense.

Not a bullmastiff. I have two and have many friends that have them. This dog's head, feet and width of chest are too small to be a bullmastiff. Also weight and color are off.
