Hello Colin, I have really enjoying watching many of your videos. I have purchased the paper you use..the Ingres in sand but was wondering which side you use? They seem to have different textures. I have tried out the rough side but the results are dismal!! You make it look so easy!!! Many thanks,

yeah! i have never used pastel pencils before, just the bars... i must do it soon...

do you use withe pastel as a blend pencil?

I do use the pastel pencil to blend other pastel pencil in to the papser but I also use a Colour shaper and my finger sometimes. Kind regards Colin.

WOW you are soooo good.AMAZING!! I have also decided to start painting with pastel pencils but I don't know where to buy the pastel paper you use in your videos...can you recommend any other paper I can purchase in Germany?I've looked everywhere in the Internet and the only paper that seems ok to me and that I can get here is the Fabriano Ingres Avorio,but isn't that too thin(90g)?

Thank you for your kind comments. Many people have mentioned the angle of the camera It is very close to the picture and I have to move to one side. This does make it difficult for me to see properly but it does give the viewer a good view. I used 15 pastel pencils on this particulr picture and there are 60 in the complete set.
