  • This speech has really hit home for me. I really wish a lot more people take his words seriously as well as what he stood for. MLK was a true server of God and I absolutely respect that to the highest power. A lot of people are lost and choose to follow all the wrong things instead of following the LORD! People really need to open their eyes see that if its not of the LORD it just doesn't matter. May MLK rest in peace...

  • "Somewhere I read that the greatness of America is the right to protest rights."

  • He may have given this speech before but you can sense the immediacy of his words here, like jesus must have sounded before he let himself be taken from this world.

  • So ironic

  • I Truly Believe the Aura of GOD Almighty Surrounded Dr. King When He Would Speak..Especally I See It & Feel It In His Last Speech...I Can't Help But Weep...My Heart Is So Heavy & Sad Right Now...I'll Never Understnd Man and Why Dr. King Was Taken From Those Of Us Who Loved Him So Much..I Was Honoured & Privileged To Get To Stand Next To and Touch & Have My Picture Taken With A Dear Friend of his..Georgia Congressman John Lewis..That Picture Is In My Lvgrm..GOD Holds Dr. King In HIS Hands..sk

I really appreciate everything you did for us Dr. King. RIP... It doesn't make since the way people are treated because the color of their skin.. It's ignorance... I think he knew he was going to die soon after this speech that was sooo sad...

  • Greatest people in history can be counted on fingertips

Dr. Martin Luther King was one of them. he was a Great Soul

God Bless us All with his great teachings for peace on Earth

  • I would love to say that Dr. Martin Luther King succeeded in his goal, he did in part. But there is still just as much injustice today as there was then. Only now the injustice is not pointed at a race but a class. The "lower class citizen". Just look at that description, the words alone make anyone who falls into that group feel lesser than those above them. I'm not saying we are the same as the african americans who suffered in those days but we suffer a new pain, one that does not see race.

  • I love this man!!!!!! We are all one!

  • You could see it in his eyes, he knew he did not have much time left. All the hateful and vile letters and phone calls threatening his life everyday...and still he stood up.

  • @ramrod20042000 - I Know..I See It In His Eyes Too...Those Close To Dr. King Say He Knew He Didn't Have Much Time & That He Thought Memphis Might Be The End..Sadly It Was..A Band of Angels Came for the KING..They Cometh and They Took My KING Home...The KING Is Gone But Never Ever Forgotten...His Legacy Lives On Forever...GOD Bless the Greatest Man To Walk This Earth Next To Jesus..REVEREND DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR...Amen sk

  • @StevieKhane yeah Amen from an Aussie.

  • It's not going to far saying Martin Luther King was basically a modern-day prophet.

His voice doesn't sound like any voice I've ever heard.

  • stand up to man with a gun, while you have a gun, that is natural........stand up to a man with a gun, while you don't have a gun, and you do not hate him or her, and you do not hate him or wish any ill, or negativity. THAT is the true courage of the message of Dr. Martin luther king. Non-violence. true courage that every man and woman has the potential to achieve.

  • LONG LIVE MLK!!!!!

  • THIS MAN CHANGED AMERICA FOREVER HIS LIFE AND LEGACY WILL NOT CAN NOT AND NEVER WILL BE FORGOTTEN

  • yes WHO EXACTLY DISLIKE THIS A KKK MEMBER PERHAPS

  • He helped ALL PEOPLE to realize that racism is depremental to all of humanity and nations. Hate can never silence the truth, love for his work lets Dr. king live forever.

  • 3 racists didn't like this speech

  • who would dislike this

  • @0eazye0 that is not funny

  • @0eazye0 why?

  • Honoring Martin Luther King

  • We are all one. When you hurt someone, you're hurting a part of yourself. When you hate someone, you are hating a part of yourself. We all share a piece of the same soul. Our eyes should extend far beyond race, creed, sex and color. When we as a people, as a collective learn to see beyond the physical, then and only then can we say we have truly evolved. Martin Luther King Jr. was a great person and a beautiful soul. That part of him still exists in every person on this planet. We are all one!

  • @donniedarkodevotte Beautiful! You've put into words what I've tried to so many times! Very true sentiment & statement! Thank you for sharing, let's hope more people realize what you said to be true, only then will we move past the boundaries of race, creed, color & prejudice, so that we can ALL work together for a brighter tomorrow, for us & our children!

  • @donniedarkodevotte How are we one if we are all different and unique? Our thoughts are different, our ideas are different, how could you say we are all one. Not hurting anyone? No competition? competition and hurting others to benifit ourselves is what drives the human race foward. Even MLK "hurt" the dignity and the power of whites in America, wouldn't that make him "evil"?

  • WHO EVER FUCKED ASSASSINATED HIM I HOPE HE GETS THE WORST LEVEL OF HELL IF HE WERE ALIVE I WOULD HAVE FUCKED HIM UP AND WOULD BE WORST THEN THE DEVIL

  • Thumbs up if your watching this on MLK jr. Day

  • Thank you! ... I've shared this on my Facebook page ... <3

  • @vmcebollero me too thank you

  • Vote Ron Paul People Dr King Would Approve

  • he makes me cry everytime. to give your life to such a purpose. he wanted his work and good will to pass on after his time, i hope he knows how it has.

  • R.I.P. Dr. King, Jr. You were the greatest civil rights leader of all time...

  • he was a great man why did he have to die fuck the guy that killed him he should go to hell with the stupid racit devil comment or like if you think this is true

  • He could have been 1/10 as good a speaker and still been The greatest american.

  • This speech applies today. Especially for the 99%.

  • I could tell deep down he knew he was going to get assassinated too

  • @ASGxZ i think he he did too look at his eyes at 1.31! GOD BLESS THIS MAN SOUL!

  • this nigga give me the chills!

  • number1metalwoman those laws were passed by the bush admin under the homeland security act, obama failed to have the removed due to republican congress research people research!!

  • Happy 83rd Birthday to an American Hero

  • Comment removed

  • His emotions convey triumph, encouragement, and defiance all throughout this excerpt. You can see as he looks over the crowd when he says he is not worried. While he is encouraging supporters, he seems to also be looking for any of his agitators as if to say "In case you are in this room, you don't scare me. I've already won." Inspiring to the fullest.

  • I am white and Martin luther king. Is one of my HEROs The world is much better place because of him We need him at this time. America is suffering from corrupt government. Martin talks about freedom to stand up for your rights. We are losing them Obama has passed laws that make it legal to detain imprison people without reasoning and without right to a court and or jury. The sopa act makes it so government has a right to silence our feedom of speach. Wish we had MLK with us Today.

  • Look at his face right here 2:24. He just saw something, I can clearly tell it. That's when he saw the glory of the coming of the Lord.

  • @Bouncer9000 Yeah your correct, MLK got to see just what we now know about the illuminati. He seen a barren battlefield he saw the dead, he saw Gods will and he witnessed where all this goes and to whom it all leads.

My guess is its the coming of of the Lord. Just take a look around us; everywhere we look we see evil. Its here and damn strong; thru the movies money and media.

This aint black vs white, its the battle of the millenium!

And we are all in it my brother.

    God love you son.

  • @Bouncer9000

He'd actually given this speech before... So I doubt it.

  • @Bouncer9000 I saw it as well, that look was of pure fear, he knew he was a marked man. He goes onto say that hes not worried and hes not fearing any man, the sad fact is he was scared and he knew the illuminati where going to have him killed, did it worry him? No way he was a martyr he gave his life for the greater good of society. Sadly 1 year later tens of thousands of black were drafted to Vietnam and killed. The demonic Cult called the illuminati had him executed just like lennon and pac...

  • @Bouncer9000 Nah, i think it was an illuminati member giving him a "watch what you say" notion.

  • @Bouncer9000 heck yea.

  • @Bouncer9000 heck yea.

  • I am not religious by any means.. But correct me if im wrong.. When he talks about being to the mountain top.. Isn't the mountain top paradise which is would be heaven? lol...If so, he had a feeling his time was near

  • @Jerkyboy2169 yes he knew something was going to happen to him

  • Hearing this speech made me cry. Thank you to MLK and the others that fought for my freedom.

  • I wish I would have been alive and been there during this struggle. I hope I would have been strong enough to join the fight. The prophecy in this speech is chilling. I'm almost convinced he knew he was going to die, but his courage, strength, and steadfast hope for humanity is tremendously inspiring.

  • Shit, not enough room.lol. Oh well, I ramble too much as it is anyway. :)

  • What a wonderful and strong human being. Few have had the strength and courage it takes to stand up against evil when death lurks at every corner, like he did. It's a shame that people in America don't appreciate the sacrifices that the civil rights leaders made, as much as they should. They take for granted what they have today, ignorant of the fact that they may not have it tomorrow. It's strange how people like Dr.King or Abe Lincoln, or any great humanitarian, are considered "fortunate" to

  • HE WAS A STRONG MAN AND HE WILL LIVE ON IN OUR HEARTS FOREVER !!!!

    please like my post

  • @ratpacaca most epic combination.

  • Dan Rathers sat behind Jesus is Elementary school.

  • THE SINGLE-MOST GREATEST SPEECH IN AMERICAN HISTORY. And I've studied hundreds of them. This speech stands heads-and-tails above all in its power, meaning, prophetic wisdom, and fearlessness. MLK Jr. today is too often characterized as a black leader for black people. BULL%$#@&!!! MLK Jr. was a leader for all Americans, of all races, of freedom and justice and righteousness. Yes, he had martial infidelities. Yes, he loved his mistresses, etc. No matter to me. His importance trumps that.

  • @Aetius76 Four score and seven years ago, our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, Conceived in LIBERTY, and dedicated to the proposition that all Men and Women, are created equal.

  • @Aetius76 I think his I have a dream speech is his best one. Also i believe if given the chance too he would have been the very first black president of the united states. I do not think that he would turn his back on the people and fall for the bribes of wall st.

  • What a great man!

  • Check out the new MLK song "FULL JUSTICE" now on Youtube!!

  • If only we can take those words and apply their meanings to our lives and communities an world NOW.
