@lilild1 Es una serie de la BBC para la tv del 2005 que consta de tres capítulos.

Está basada en una trilogía del escritor William Golding premio Nobel de Literatura.

La historia trata sobre las vivencias durante meses de un joven aristócrata durante las guerras napoleónicas abordo de un veterano navío rumbo a Australia donde tiene que ocupar un puesto gubernamental por influencia de su rico padrino.

Es un relato dramático de corte intimista donde muestra como Talbot madura durante el trayecto.

Claro que es muy recomendable, lo malo es que ni no estás muy ducha en inglés es más complicado seguir y comprender las conversaciones.

i remember reading the books by golding. was it a trilogy? i can't remember. i didn't know about this dramatisation. the books were heavy going. i am looking forwards to watching this. thank you.

Yes, it's a trilogy: Rites of Passage (1980), Close Quarters (1987) and Fire Down Below (1989) I just read "The final parade" of Ford Madox Ford as the next job in Benedict Cumberbatch and I hope to read now the trilogy based on this wonderful miniseries adaptation of 2005 :)

@johneunson You're welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Madox Ford I've only read that you commented, "The final parade" because it is new that is rolling mineserie Benedict Cumberbatch and is very good, now I'd like to read also "The Good Soldier" Jeremy Brett to make a movie.
