  • @somebodeyxp Thanks a lot , i am glad it helps people ,,, which is why i put them here ....

  • @Drumguitarman I hope you don't put this the hard way but the only time you do look like Ringo is when you have the fake mustache on & when you wear you sgt pepper costume,so I thought maybe you & Jeffrey Isoe should switch each-others noses because Jeffrey does look like George a little bit accept he makes him look like Ringo because of his long nose, what do think of that?

  • Wow! Its a miracle for me. To do all these things at the same time. Great!

  • Dude, is there something wrong with your snare?

  • @keelanseanwright Thanks friend !

  • @Drumguitarman loooooool.

  • @anakin917 60s ludwig

  • Isn't it uncomfortable sitting like a foot above your snare haha?

  • @rabiddaffy No it is not . I can play standing up Or standing on my head .

  • @Drumguitarman Haha that's good to know ;)

  • you're right this song got a very cool groove. do you know if Ringo came up with the drum compositions himself? cuz most beatles songs have a cool little special drum beat, like this one

  • BRAVO!

  • Before In My Life, the drum beat was used on Anna (go To Him)

  • HEY....!!!! IT'S SO EASY THANK YOU LOVED IT (L)

  • wow ! you look like him dude ! i think it's a great thing you're doing for a lot of young drummers out there..let them know where it all began..without ringo, there would be no modern rock drumming !..cheers ! and keep up the good work ! long live ringo and the beatles !!

  • It's so simple a Caveman could do it! I enjoy watching your drumming videos!

  • Great drumming! Are you the drummer from American English?

  • who needs toms?

  • @thrmoz456 ok for coloring the song .

  • cool :)

  • great !

  • @philcastful Thanks man !

  • real nice!!! ringo is great!!

  • @gabodeboedo Ringo is the Greatest !

  • You drum well man but John Lennon actually played drums on the original recording of this song as he did on most of the Beatles music.

  • @MrRedcap999

'John Lennon played drums on most of the Beatles music'....??

...and all along I thought it was Bernard Purdie.

    :))

  • @geoffreydlang It was actually paul who played the drums on some of the tracks...Paul was actually the Beatle's drummer for a few weeks before Pete Best joined....he was then back to guitar until Stu Sutcliffe left....then he went on bass......best wishes.from Liverpool.

  • @MrRedcap999 Not on "most Beatles music". And actually, it was Paul who played the drums when it was not Ringo, so get your facts right. Paul played on "Back in the USSR" and "The Ballad of John and Yoko" and some others. Ringo played 90% of Beatles drums

  • @Robotdrummerzzk Peace and Love to you ! This is to TEACH drummers how to play drums , that is all .

  • @MrRedcap999 You mean Ringo Starr, of course.

  • I'll stick with my HARMONICA ! TY ! You do Sound Great # 1..... TALL58 !

  • DRUMERS: KEEP BEAT and supplement rhythm section..now so many have ADD

  • @Drumguitarman good drumming!!

  • @desvanicioj30 Thank-you !

  • As much as I love the Beatles (I really LOVE them, I've been listening since I was around 3) I can't say Ringo's drumming in The Beatles is an inspiration to me. He's an excellent drummer, but he's also a team player, and does what sounds best for the song. Still one of my favorites though.

  • if you're drummer , you'll say it's hard to "don't add fill" like ringo

  • dude... you look like ringo.... that's just a little creepy

  • You make this look so easy :-)

  • Hi, very interesting. Maybe someday you could do "Good Morning" from Sgt. Peppers. As someone who owns a trap set, thanks.

  • Hey mate, Im learning and practicing Anna(go to Him) and please tell me if Im wrong, but the beat sounds pretty much the same as In My Life except openining of the Hats(in Anna) on what I think is, +4. Do you know the counts for Anna? Well done in this video, i agree that it is a great song to play. Keep it up!!!!

    Cheers

  • you are a great drummer mate! rock on!

  • @LethalK9mm thanx !

  • i have the same snare.

  • Great Color For The Set, Blue Is Awsome...YaY!

  • What type of snare are you using? I think its a ludwig supraphonic but I'm not sure.

  • @Wonderbread316 Yes it is !

  • @chinchonchinchon Thanks for that !

  • Happy birthday Ringo!!!

  • @WelcomeWakinyan Thank-you ! Mine ia actually july 11th , 4 days after Ringo's -

  • @Drumguitarman

    right after beatles day

  • @Drumguitarman woah thats so beast:D

  • @Drumguitarman Great video man! Youre a great drummer and I love the Beatles. Your videos have helped me learn how to play the drums like Ringo. And my birthdays the 6th of july a day before Ringos haha

  • @banksta654 cool mines on the 11th .

  • awesome brother, why do drummers insist on filling every song up with relentless hi-hats? it just gets in the way of the other instruments texture. Your video is excellent as its actually about playing 'music'

  • cool , seemd like yoou are having fun ,

  • Damn it! I thought it really was Ringo at first!

  • I've always wanted to learn how to play the drums :3 Maybe someday I'll be able to! Glad you like The Beatles :3

  • @RickyGervaisFreak You should play the drums !

  • @Drumguitarman I want to so badly, but first I need to buy drums, take lessons....ooohh money will be a big part of this project, but drums are worth it

  • i think ringo ispired your haircut also

  • the first groove you played is a lot like Anna (go to him) off please please me. Also one of my favorite beats. along with All I've got to do.

  • "One of Ringo's great qualities was that he composed unique, stylistic drum parts for The Beatles songs. His parts are so signature to the songs that you can listen to a Ringo drum part without the rest of the music and still identify the song." -Steve Smith

  • "Ringo is the leader in the education for all young drummers of style over flash, always playing the right things rather than a lot of things. -Stewart Copeland

  • @Xmenfan246

Great comment...I received my first drum set in 1966 and all I would play was The Beatles albums. They were very basic beats and it taught me all I needed to know. Ringo was truly a master at letting the melodies come through.

  • This was my very 1st Ringo Drum Lessons video . Thanks everyone , i'm glad it helped a lot of people . My drum students were down , so i decided to give it all away to you . Peace and Love to all that enter here .......

  • @nairegui Of course i wou;d !

  • I really appreachiate minimalistic drumming, but all the fuzz about Ringo is the denial of the fact that an untalalented guy just got very lucky to meet some good musicians who didn´t mind. My humble opinion.

Now let the bashing begin! : )

    Funny vid though.

  • @realbazini Ringo Starr is Very talented !

  • @realbazini Um..Ringo was a famous and successful drummer in Liverpool before The Beatles. He was in Rory Storm + The Hurricanes which was one of the top bands before The Beatles even had a name. To quote McCartney in Anthology about replacing Pete Best with Ringo," We knew we needed 'The Great Drummer in Liverpool'". So no he wasn't lucky. They needed the best drummer in Liverpool, and Ringo was that person.

  • oh yeah!!! that's true!

As a drums teacher I think that Ringo is one of the drummer we shouldn't forget! like Phil Rudd and Dave Grohl ... they play(ed) in a scholastic way. this is nothing but music!!

Dig your style!! and your haircut

  • thanks guy ! i love phil rudd also . i listen to ac dc an aweful lot because on the Simplistic Punch in your gut driving sound ! my favorites are "it's a long way to the top .....,if you want blood , high voltage , tnt .

  • @mixmaxintheflex Thank-you ! This is a wig . I have grown my hair now .

  • Nice job; love the Starr stool. It should help students learn, which is your objective.

  • Bien Man, que buen video, felicidades

  • Very good cover bro! 5 stars!

  • Ringo served the needs of the song. This was also George's way. It was not that they did not want to be flashy; they did not want to call attention to themselves. In the end, the song was always coherent. If anything stood out, it would be the catchy melody or the clever lyrics (which are more important than the drums or the lead guitar). When you listen to a song by Cream or the Who, people always mention how wonderful the drums or the guitar are; but, that's not the point.

  • The drummer is merely "seasoning" to the entire song . we as drummers have the ability to structure the whole FlOw of the tune . the beat is where your heart is . that is why i play drums for this sensation it gives me . i really want to inspire people to play drums or ANY instrument . put that rock band game away and buy a REAL INSTRUMENT .

  • @Drumguitarman the beatles are the reason why i play the drums now and im learning and i can play in my life just like you now thanks

  • @Drumguitarman the beatles are the reason why i play the drums now and im learning and i can play in my life just like you now thanks

  • @bball4life140 Awesome ! My mission is complete !

  • @Drumguitarman well done :)

  • irish ringo???

  • ha ha i am a little irish .

  • @TheKevinwashere but i like it too.....

  • I always loved the drums on that number.

People say Ringo was just a "keep the beat" drummer, but it would be more accurate to describe him as an "arrangement first" drummer

  • @kirbygene thanks for the comment! peace !

  • @kirbygene There ya go .

  • ringo is decent. he can't be reffered to as the best of all time. he has a tiny set and plays basic beats. he really is only famous because he is part of the beatles

  • @Urmomscollege Decent? Are you fucking insane? Ringo is without a doubt one of the greatest rock drummers of all time. It's not about the size of your kit, you're definitely not a drummer, nor musician for that matter, what matters is talent, groove, feel, timing and creativity. All of which Ringo had an overabundance of. Try listening, yes I said listening, to the bloody music man before you go shooting off your mouth.

  • Some people "Never" get what music is all about . FEEL .

  • Excellent job on this - great representation of the original groove. It's worth noting Ringo used this groove 2 other times, only playing the hi-hat on the & of 3. The first time was a song from the very 1st Beatles album called "Anna". The 2nd was a faster version of the groove on a song called "Not A Second Time", and lastly, on this song, "In My Life". Tre Cool of Green day does a variation of this on "Wake Me Up When September Ends" from American Idiot.

  • Awsome!

  • @TheColts99 thanks everyone.

  • realy good

  • really good man, well in, i learnt it off this. thanks man.

  • I love Ringo! He has a great groove and his drumming is so original and space conscious. I went to see him last night at his Hollywood Star induction. He, Joe Walsh, Don Was and Ben Harper! Ringo and Joe were hilarious! Ringo looked so good in person! And I think he turns 70 this summer! Thanks for the video featuring his always tasteful parts~

  • @IndiaSummerxxx No thank-you Indiasummerxxx !

  • Wow!Awesome:)

  • I enjoyed it ! You should make a drum cover for the song The End ! Keep rocking men

  • is this a joke? not that your a bad drummer lol but people really wanna play like ringo star?

  • @jackarss69 YES!He played on all those tremendous hits!He was one of thee most influential drummers for a long long long time.Look at all the video responses i get.Yes,people still want to play like Ringo.

  • I thought ringo mainly sat at the back and done fuck all .. apart from flop his moppy hair about .. Drumguitarman play some ian paice or john bonham or cosy powell much better than this put you to sleep stuff.

  • I have tons of other drum videos.look at my playlist for previous bands and playlist for my drum solos if you want that stuff.I play Ringo Starr for a job and it is GREAT!!

  • I saw them and was amazed thanks for showing me a more intake of drumming styles Drumguitarman.

  • please look at bands of yesterday playlist, thanks!

  • sorry I meant Mick...lol

  • Great job.....I will take Ringo and Charlie Watts anyday over flashy drummers....dont get me wrong..Im not dissing anyone....I just want to say that Ringos technique is just incredible to me..and the sound he got from his snare is just cooler than damnit.....and poor old Charlie...nobody gives him any credit...that guy was a time monster...simple..but effective...you got to give him credit for only smiling all the time at Bill Wyman...while Mike was making a ass out of himself.....God Bless Rock

  • thanks man,so true!

  • you even look like ringo--thanks, for the video!

  • thanks for lookin' at it!

  • awesome. Great job.

  • nice

  • I hate the perception that to be a great drummer you have to be technical and flashy. Ringo was a master of subtlety.

  • Right on.I come from school of jazz and fusion, and i'll tell ya,nothing like simple feel good rock and roll to me.

  • fusion is hard core. imma drummer and its intense

  • check out my fusion drum solo playlist mate.

  • I also meant to say, playing the "Right"part is much more important than over playing it.The part should compliment the bass and other instuments, singers.

  • Many top class drummers like Bill Bruford, Phil Collins and Terry Bozzio have nothing but high regard for Ringo. According to them he's a drummer with class.

  • I studied the drummers you talk about.seen bozzio 3 times in awesome drum clinics!

  • @Xmenfan246 Great comment, but Ringo IS a master of subtlety. He's still here.

  • @Cds56 THAT is why i spread the word about Ringo !!

  • where can I buy that book?

  • maybe barnes and noble?

  • can you play "Act Naturaly" by rigno its because i love that song and i want to learn how to play the song please make a video please.

  • Ringo had the steadiest kick drum of any drummer I ever heard. I always loved this groove.

  • Hey, I am a drum nerd but I can only play after notes, and you learn people with a video, have you notes too....?

  • Buy the large white beatle book that has all drum parts in it.They are not all correct, but a lot are.good luck!

  • i become speechless when it comes to the beatles...anyway

i own a Ludwig 6.5X14 snare and trust me when i say your Ludwig is under-tuned...you will get a much more Beatles-E sound if you tuned it higher so its closer to medium ranged tuning.

    cool cover none the less.

  • Could be.I just literally throw these videos on,sometimes not matching album sound.I do almost all videos in "1''take.They are more for learning the style of Ringo, not so much sounding like Ringo. Some sound close, some not so close with too much ringing.I'm using my 8mm camcorder.I pay more attention to tuning with BritBeat beatles tribute band from chicago il.who supply entire drumkit, and transport it in their caravan.Man is that sweet!!!!

  • I've only drummed for two years and Ringo Starr instpired me to do it :)

  • that's weird, I JUST uploaded a drum cover of this song a few days ago. Out of all the Beatles songs in the catalog, awesome man. Beautiful kit

  • you put it all together nicely. counting aloud was a help too for beginners. Thanks. Ringo knew his role in the group.

  • Thanks!Drums are easy and fun.I was playing for money in under 2 yrs. wood shedding, self taught.I'm really a left handed drummer!

  • ITA. Ringo is an underrated drummer.

  • Some of the Coolest grooves in all of Rock And Roll. That is Ringo Starr(sometimes with help of his great peires).

  • Thanks! A great way to really hear what Ringo is doing in these songs.

  • I recently started playing drums

Ringo Starr instpired me to start and I love it

  • Very well done. This really is -less is more -stuff. Allthough I wonder how much Paul would have contributed to the part - at least he claims to have half written the song - and Ringo once said that Paul was behind the kit whenever he (Ringo) went for a cup of tea....But anyhow, great one take job!

  • Thanks for the insight. That is what i love in a comment.Merry X-mas to ya and a happy new year!

  • lol....good work man...I did not read your explanation first and thought "why would he look like Ringo"....but okay..nuf said..cool...

  • Nice job!

Also, not important, but I find your lack of spacing in between sentences rather amusing. Usually, it's two spaces in between sentences, but you like to have zero spaces!

  • I was a chronic stutterer as a child.I think it comes from that.I used to think about getting the first words out too much, then cablam, stutter tongue tied city!

  • Thanks, it's very great. Luciano - Brazil

  • like most novice drummers you've got the business end of your bass drum tuned way too high. especially if you're trying to cover ring.

  • Yes you are right. This is a gretsch kit for smaller students.I'm not fond of this kick,so i tune it higher for some kind of tone.I do have a "Ringo"kit with bigger kick drum than this one.

  • this guy leads with his left like ringo. pretty cool.

  • Is very great!!!

  • Elegantly simple! Well done.
