This video made me cry; you show beautifully how the Lord can take each one of us, as we surrender to Him, and create something far more wonderful than we had ever hoped to be on our own!
Thank you for posting this uplifting comment. This is why I made the video. That is the story I was trying to tell. Thank you for letting me know what it meant to you. Many Blessings to you in the Lord, SKS
very cool project to fix that guitar, you are obviously a pretty talented person.
though i don't agree at all with your religiosity i'm still happy that you found something for yourself that gives your life meaning. that is more than a lot of people can say... stay up bro.
Loved the video and the metaphor. I am also a Believer in Christ, Jesus. so I can relate. Wow, you found a Martin in the trash. Never would've thought that would happen, but have heard it said that one man's trash is another's treasure. I liked the song too. Wasn't familiar with it, so I thought you may have composed it, but it appears that a band called Alter Bridge composed it. Anyway, I will have to check out more of your vids. Press on, bro (Phil. 3:14, 4:13). :)
You're welcome. Yes, thanks to almighty God who has a Way of taking broken things and restoring to treasure (Ps. 23:3, 3 Jn 2). Hallelujah and Amen! :)
I'm speechless. I love it. I saw Jesus for the first time a few years ago. I started reading my grandmother's bible that I got after she passed away. What a miracle. 2 years later I'm a completely different and healed person! Praise the Lord. God bless you.
I don't know why people don't rate it higher. I rate things based on the content, not what someone believes. I don't believe in god but i can bloody appreciate good music!
How is this connected to guitar repair work? You have belief, but you also have evidence for your belief. You apparently have done other repair work, based on your tool box. You have probably repaired other items successfully in the past, so you have a reasonable expectation that the guitar repair could be successful; thus, no faith is needed.
According to Hebrews 11:1...."Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see."
In that sense, I agree with you.
But this video is not about using "faith" to repair a guitar - the entire story is a metaphor for salvation, as I stated in the comment bar. What was lost and broken was found and redeemed.
By the way - I have worked on instruments, but never like this - so it did take a little faith on my part to attempt it!
Praise the Lord Brother! this is an awesome testimony. i have an evangelist friend with a simliar story about a 1930's saxello, who's bell had been used in a pawn shop in cincinatti for an ashtray.
thank you! In my video for "The Fiddler of Dooney" I am playing this Martin. It is tuned to Eb. I am planning to do a new video soon for youtube, most likely a hymn, with the Martin soon. Check back in a few weeks, I should have it up. God Bless!
Absolutly love this video, we need to see more of this on youtube and not that lady gaga anti christ junk...may God bless you!

Yes, see my new disclaimer about the audio track in the description to the right. I am not the composer of the audio track, Alter Bridge is -
Thanks for your kind words.....this truly was a case of one man's trash being another man's treasure -
Glory to God -

Yes, praise the Lord.
Regeneration is a wonderful, mystical and powerful joy. Having your head firmly enshrouded by the "helmet of salvation" brings peace and clarity.
He changes you from the inside out. He covers the scarlet of sin in the purity of fresh white snow.
Your scars, both physical and emotional, testify to His wonderful restorative powers, and His ability to knit life together.

Nice repair job!
