I believe Dick was clocked at 95mph at the start/start finish line (and still accelerating) You got to bear in mind this is 30-40 year old equipment and motors we're running. The modern guys are hitting up around 120 mph on the same straight. Overall only a few seconds off current lap times on antiquated equipment. It maybe old, but it sure is quick.
