@iigunzent Yo no disrespect man... But how will conforming to the media's criteria help? They're not stupid. If his lyrics are conveying a message that is against what they are 'comfortable' with then they are not going to allow it. Merely making it sound like your typical mainstream track isn't going to gain it acceptance. Like mos said you have to go straight to the people and not rely on these corporations to aid you, because chances are they will do the complete opposite.

The one thing that I'd love to discuss with Mos is this Question "If The media format is a certain thing, and you have a certain message to get across, Then why not conform in a sense to get your message across? Meaning Why not make a record that SOUNDS like what they want, while putting the message across with what you're saying. Take an approach of 'It's not WHAT you say, but HOW you say it."
