@jcnbw01 It is simply a gift honered from God. Many people were at awe when I drew from my mind, depicting near-realistic creatures and landscapes. It also requires consistent practice and imagination. It is just hard to learn, but you must be creative-minded, utilizing the artistic hemisphere of the brain.

...my day job requires me to know how to calculate the standard deviation of a survey, and determine the validity of the sample size in relation to the outliers being addressed...to me, a spreadsheet is 'exciting'.

But i have no idea how you are able to see the images you paint as you paint them, mixing what seems to me random colors and getting the shade, the hue, the tone just right piece by piece, until you have your image realized on canvass.

I envy you.

haha yeah it does get really quiet without roommates, I'm always playing music in my place to give it a "more alive" feel. Also after you hang your stuff up (pictures, posters, blinds, etc) it gets rid of that awful empty echo that plagues new apartments!! Hope you enjoy your new place!!

What strikes me most about the way you paint is you do the whole thing from your head. No sketch marks or guides to produce the finished result. Which means you do the whole thing from inside your head. Thats most impressive.

I never really appreciated art. I spend most of my time with my machines and math. I did however meet my now closest friend a while back and she made me start to appreciate it. where I look to break things apart and make them better, she looks to observe and create. we are two opposites in that regard but we meet on the lines of design. U am glad that I am now able to appreciate works of art such as yours. The world seems less vexing. I cant get her to appreciate science though :?
