I'm a BW and I don't want to get married for similar reasons. One, you don't have to be married in order to be in a monogamous committed relationship. Two, my profits and debts are mine and mine alone. I'm not giving anyone anything that I earned & I'm not taking anything they earned. I'd only marry to have kids because I don't believe in having kids outside of wedlock but since I don't want kids that solves that problem. Besides too many women get married for the wedding NOT for the marriage.

I question Marriage in this Patriarchy. I am for the legal part, every culture has some type of legal structure. If she can work or not was never an issue. They legally married in Ancient Kemet and still had a marriage contract and those women had ALL power before the Cult of Amen RA came in and helped user in Patriarchy. So I am for it but I do think the laws need to be revamped.

that is true. i mean men should really consult a lawyer when in a commited relationsip so that he can be protected. because your right, even if you co-habitate with a chick she still has some legal entitlements depending of the state that you live. its funny because the women dam well fully know how the laws of marriage protect them while the man are naive about them.
