  • This is mad and I LOVE IT.

  • to Brian Cleverley , I have never seen james Last , but have many cd's and videos of his tours , I envy you , his renderings are so diverse and arranged in such a way they generate so many emotions , a truly great interpreter of all kinds of music . you lucky man having seen him so many times .

  • first went to see him in birmingham uk in 1971 been to manchester nottinham liverpool bristol london berlin dussledorf barcolona and again in london

  • Professionalism at Best

  • Love Royal Albert Hall...got to play there in the '80s And Last really rocked the place!!!

  • This is so interesting. I know a large number of these songs and remember hearing them on the radio when I was young.. This guy has been a major influence on both American and European music. It is interesting to stumble upon such a major influence.

  • The Germans have invaded London..

  • @jurbinsky77 . . . at last.....took them a long time!!!

  • @ravona100 :)

  • @jurbinsky77 exactly !!!

    Diggare av James Last

  • without a doubt this is the best james last orchestra ever,a brilliant mixture of strings and brass, and the impressive albert hall really shows the orchestra at its best.GREAT.

  • if u like the country songs of james last .... wel hes got 2 cds

    1 is western party

    2 james goes western

  • I like it when Derek watkins puts the circus bit in and the horse naying with the trumpet although he wasnt playing here but his partner Bocoasins was

  • BRING BACK DEREK WATKINS!!!!!!!!

  • Cool!

  • SUPER - hab ihn selbst mal Live erlebt.

  • So Beautiful....Are they still playing? I am trumpeter and I would like to play with them.... Solo Trumpet :-)

  • what a great night. I really hope he will do another uk tour.

  • Does anyone know where Matthias Clasen got his sax from? Or anywhere that will do custom designs similar to his? I've googled to death, can't find anything. When i met him after the show last time they played the UK, i didn't have time to ask as he had to rush off! Any help is appreciated!

  • The waiting is almost over - It's APRIL !

Hansi rounds 80 and goes on tour.

    See You in Berlin !!

  • Ok, need to buy the dvd - James Last is really easy listening.

I like the brass-sound, full and responding. Take care.

  • brilliant....i-m out of words...

  • The 3 songs included are: Orange Blossom Special, Hip Hop Polka and Games Lovers Play (condensed).

  • So great that music brings us together, greetings from Hansi´s hometown Bremen : )

  • anyone of you knows if there are any musicians who were with James Last from the very beginning and who are still with him?

  • Detlef Surmann (trombone)is the only musician that is still there since the early days of James Last orchestra (middle of the sixties). From start the orchestra was manned by german studio musicians. As they gained international popularity the orchestra has been manned with top musicians from more than 15 countries (!). In 2009 they will make a european tour. That might be the last (!) opportunity to see James Last orchestra performing, as he will have his 80:th (!) birthday in 17 april 2009.

  • I wonder where Terry Jenkins

    was on this occation

  • He left the orchestra, along with several other of the "old guard," just before the tour of China back in 2002. Stephen (Stoppel) Eggert is the new drummer.

  • Thanks for the update Dunelmite

  • I have followed this fabulos orchestra since the mid sixties and never grow tired of listening to them.Whatever theyplay you get a hundred % performance brilliant WINBAX preston
