The only shots they used were from the extreme wide shots and the opening (you will notice no hedge maze) all the other stuff they built a facade of the hotel at Elstree Studios in England.
they only used the facade in the movie; the inside of the lodge doesn't look anything like what's in the movie, since the interiors were filmed on a soundstage.
The movie was shot at the overlook or something but it was based on the stanley hotel.
