  • I am a tech at a Honda dealer and also own a 2008 Fit. I have had a lot of Hondas over the years and have never heard the noise that comes from this car out of any of those, 200K miles or not. There is a pronounced clatter, or knocking noise that I hear in your video that I have on mine as well. So far I have replaced the rooker arm assemblies and shaft, noise still there. Then techline recommended a new head. Just did that today and did not change a thing. i did a zero lash valve adjust

  • @ILoveMYHonda1984 Zero lash? That means there's no clearance between the rocker arm and the valve stem, which there should be.

  • my fit sounds the same btw its fine

  • Did the cleaner help at all?

  • Tick isn't an issue anymore now that it's running on 310cc injectors and boosted.

  • That exaclty what my brand new ge sounds like. nothing out of the ordinary. The engine is just so quiet that the injectors sound more pronounced than in otehr cars.

  • Sounds kinda loud to me, my old abused 94 Civic with 208,000 miles is quieter, apparently Honda is cutting corners with engines nowadays.

BTW, mine has a new timing belt, so it is not "timing chain" noise.

  • Boy that sounds so horrible for a new car

  • Mine does the same thing... it's fine get over it lol

  • The sound came from the timing chain.

  • @riseofsinx Chain!? Honda is using chains instead of belts for the timing nowadays?
