Currently, Russia has a very reliable nuclear arsenal that could burn down all US metro areas in one bloody afternoon. Search on google for "iraq civilian deaths"; ~100,000 civilian deaths is the LOWEST FIGURE I COULD FIND. There is no one who would ever claim that less than 100,000 with any sort of factual basis. But basically, your argument is disgusting and it is a very good thing we do not live in a democracy so that people like you can't have any power.

Saudi Arabia is where 15 of the 19 highjackers from 2001-09-11 came from, yet our president is best friends with that nation. The Taliban are not a huge organization like other terrorist organizations. Moreover, those who we are seeking retribution upon are not those who would do us harm, Iraq had nothing to do with 2001-09-11 and there have been approximately 100,000 documented Iraqi civilian deaths. There is no way you can argue that all 100,000 are terrorists. We have blood on our hands.

If Iran sails out early, before the start of the neutralization, if Iran strikes first, before we start, she will pay a terrible terrible price. A price we don't want her to pay.

Iran now has the Yakhonts and Sunburn supersonic, wave-skimming, solid-fuel missiles that are Russian-designed to kill ships. They have 750-pound conventional warheads and impact a ship at Mach 2.5--We might stop a few of these at once, but not a saturation attack.

Defending North Korea and Iran against the US is treason in my book. Yes, we are interested in Regime Change in North Korea and in Iraq. In a few other places too. Venezuela and Cuba and China, to mention a few.
We are not alone in desiring Regime Change in these places. The North Korean people, the Iranian people, the Cuban people, the Chinese people, the Venezuelan people would ALL prefer democratic gov.

I have studied this issue for years, and you are correct. No external force could directly stop the US from carrying out airstrikes against Iran. However, it is the consequences of the attack that are so troubling. Oil and diesel prices will rise to levels never seen in modern history. World financial markets will be in turmoil. US relations with Russia and China will go into the toilet. The US will become an international pariah, with incalculable other consequences. See page 2.
